The factors that made me choose christ us really the brand name, the work environment and the culture of christ university. The selection process started with an online assessment, followed by an on the spot creative writing and written test and followed by an interview where they ask question like introduce yourself and this is the question where you will have to give as many details about yourself as possible and then there will be questions like why christ and general things about christ and then subject oriented question so they asked me the full form of ifrs and gaap and the minister of finance and which ind AS talks about depreciation etc. Here you need to make sure not to panic if you don't know an answer, if you don't say politely that you will research and get back to them and if your interviews are scheduled for the morning there is a possibility for them to ask you if you have questions for them, for all this watch Kovach Khanna on YouTube.
I chose this course because i wanted to work in the lines of commerce and HR and this course covers those niches beautifully. The course curriculum is very student centric and due to the adaptation of the NEP policy, they have made sure to give students time to study, rest and participate in events as well. The academics will be little stressful because it all might seem new but eventually it will be fine since even biology students are a part of the class so the faculties ensure proper understanding takes place. The professors here are highly qualified and most have a PhD with a degree of bachelor's and masters that really compliment each other. There are 2 assignments known as CIA (continuous internal assessment) and 2 exams and these are held as CIA 1, mid semester exams, CIA 3 and end semester exams and usually the evaluation of end semester exams are done by 2 or more campuses so it's a through evaluation and the CIAs are assignments of 20 marks.
I haven't opted for internship yet but there will be many opportunities that will come up so make sure you participate in them. The internship usually plays a major role in your resume so choose wisely
There is campus placement that takes place and the placement is really good. Since I am in first year, I don't have much to share here but the recruitment process is lengthy and tough for which students are trained constantly
The registration fee varies if the application is online or offline. It's usually 1000 approx. After selection, you are required to pay fee plus deposit which is a total of 2.5L. The fee fluctuates through the year due to specialization. They have various scholarship programs and have a fee concession for economically backward class if you meet the criterion. The scholarship usually is for families that earn less than 10L. For additional courses you will have to pay 1500 where the subject will change every semester.
The campus life here is peaceful because it's a huge campus but due to many events its always happening. As soon as freshers come there is an inter department dance competition called novatos, followed by a talent fest called Darpan, followed by bhasha utsav, magnovite which is an inter college fesr, magnificat which is a Christmas choir fest and blossoms which is an inter department fest and the winners are usually taken to inblooms which is between the 4 Bangalore campuses. Apart from these there are curious stalls and small events held by clubs, CSA (centre for social action) being a university level club and then there are department specific clubs. There are sports teams as well and many sports events too like the devadan cup, sangrah and more. There are many dance clubs here and there are clubs under the student welfare office which has decor, volunteers, choir and cultural. The availability of books can be seen in the 2 libraries here and the class is ventilated
In campus there is hostel only for boys and the curfew for the same is 9 pm. There are many restrictions and fines that have to be paid upon violation. There is an incampus girls hostel for postgraduate students. The rest are located around the campus. I live in Happiliv girls hostel where the rent for double sharing is 15000 and this includes food and water and electricity and stuff. The food is genuinely good and the people who work here are very sweet. There are other pgs too, and all these are at walkable distance from college. There is one crossing the highway called bliss girls hostel.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
