Manipal College is an excellent choice for those who wanna enjoy their college life along with other co-curricular activities. The staff is refined and the classrooms are top-notch. The admission process begins in online around May and they will shortlist based on merit and given the date for admission. I joined respiratory therapy in Manipal on the advice of my cousin.
Respiratory therapy has 4 years ( 3 yr + 1 yr internship) consisting of 8 sem. The staff are well qualified and friendly. The exams were through the Thinkpad tablet and were easy if we had covered the main topics.
The course comes along with an internship of 1 year and the exposure is really good. KMC being one of the top hospitals can interact with almost all types of patients. The internship consists of 3 shifts.
For allied health courses there are no campus placements, thus finding a job is a problem. We have to choose a job which provides a good salary package and work exposure. The certificate value of Manipal University puts as in top priority is many hospitals and companies.
The fees have gone high from my time Now it's almost double the amount for the course and likewise for every other allied health course. The scholarship is available for local students whose parents are working in Mahe.
Manipal University is well known for its infrastructure and lifestyle. They have good classrooms and the library is awesome. There are many clubs and other activities to make students participate is co-curricular activities.
Hostels are good. The room is sharing a room with an attached bathroom. The mess food was average and most of the dish was Northern. The registration process for the hostel will be done along with course registration. Mess food consists of both veg and nonveg
The admission was easy. They have segregated students based on their 12th mark. Every procedure was guided properly and there was no confusion. There was no written exam and the only thing is that we have to select the course when called in order.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
We do see companies and lot of posters inside campus of placements Cgpa with above 8 are dligible for placements here and usually 4th year students are eligible Student named abhinav choudry was offered 52LPA last year from AIML and by company called AMD And in 2020 someone got placed 45lpa from amazon 52lpa was the highest here And the average for my course is around 6-7 lpa Percentage of students getting placed is around 65-80% rest do degree or may not be placed My plan is do m tech after getting degree here
