Manipal maybe known for wrong reasons like substance abuse, but lets forget that for a moment (even that is strictly prohibited and curbed to a very great extent, considerably even nil, for the information of concerned parents) , Manipal has a lot of brand value all over the world and the degree is actually very prestigious. For students aiming for masters, i believe it would even help them to get accepted into good colleges. The placements, while seen slightly down in 2024 due to recession is still very good, the average of all branches being almost 10 lpa and 13 for CSE, but in the non-recession years it was higher. Manipal actually tries to give you the worth of the fees, their research facilities, opportunities, internship opportunities are all very good. Even the faculty in the general sense are more interactive and helpful than those found in government colleges. So if iits, higher nits and higher iiits, bits pilani are out of reach, this is the best next option without a doubt
The faculty is really good, and they actually help you out,you can anytime ask them doubts and they usually impartially answer to everyone.Manipal also gives the facility of researching in a particular area of interest from 1st year and allot a mentor to the person who guides and helps the student with projects
I havent opted for a internship as im a first year student, but i have enrolled myself in a research program on deep learning where im alloted a group of 3 with a mentor for learning and projects.I shall be giving rating based on this
Campus placements of MAHE are one of the best among indian colleges, even during recession, the average of all branches was around 10 lpa and of CSE 13, without recession you can easily consider the above values ad median. While the bengaluru campus is gling through first year of placements which done together with the main campus for this year, the placements seem really good and it has great potential as bengaluru is the IT Hub, by the time you join and graduate from now, you can expect the median of all branches of the Bengaluru campus to be above 12lpa. I shall be giving rating based on how the placement cell works
The fees for general people for computer science engineering is almost 5 lakh per year or almost 20 lakh for 4 years. But MAHE has tge facility of a scholarship called AICTE, for which 2 things are required , 1.You should have a rank nearly 1000 better than the general rank, for example the cutoff for a branch is 6000, you should be usually having your rank around 5000.And then the second criteria is that your parents annual income should be declared as below 9LPA. If these two criterias are fulfilled, then the tuition fee component of around 3.2 lakh will be waivered and instead of 5 lakhs, you have to pay 1.8 lakh per year. This is worth it as you can get manipal level quality and environment for a real good amount and with this fees your ROI is much higher. Manipal brand name was so worth it in my opinion that i took the risk and came to their second campus in BENGALURU,which for sure has great potential of growth
Excellent, the exposure you get here is amazing, people all over india, talented in all types of things, from all backgrounds come here and ample opportunity for exchange of ideas is given. Sports and Extracurricular activities have excellent infrastructure, a few sports facilities also require you to have a marena subscription, but you can play majority of sports without it
The hostel is expensive and i wouldnt say its completely worth, especially the hostel of their second campus is very expensive, a double sharing room with attached batroom without ac costed me 2,26,000 rupees per year, but i can guarantee you that the quality of the hostel and food cannot be provided by any college in india
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
