I got admission in this college through MHTCET CAP rounds counselling. Sinhgad institute is already a well known and well reputed institution in Pune. You'll have to attempt the MHTCET exam and get a good score preferably over 90 percentile to get a good branch or your preferred branch in this college. There are also All India seats alloted through JEE score. The college itself is good I'd say it's Decent in every aspect overall..there are a few minor setback but they really depend upon your priorities. Placements are decent, the faculty atleast for my department I.e computer engineering is good they're supportive..the administration is also not bad itself. There are events, fests, seminars time to time so the college life doesn't feel imbalanced and boring.
I chose my course I.e computer engineering as that's where my interests were initially and looking at the current scenario of tech and software industry booming up. The faculty over here is good they're supportive towards the students . The schedule and syllabus is sincerely followed by the profs. As for the exams each semester there's a In-Sem or Mid-sem exam and then the Finals or End-sem exams. The whole semester is roughly around 4-6 months. Also the college itself takes a preliminary exam before the university exams for better preparation and understanding. The difficulty level of exams is subjective depending upon the Subject and preparation methods of a particular student..but to sum it up its usually on Moderate side with some subjects being quite difficult than others. You really have to study and work to get good CGPA
The placement and internships over here are again decent as well. There's a placement cell that helps you in these matters. Highest packages offered was around 45lpa and average packages go around 8-9 lpa over here with minimum being 2-3 lpa. The companies that visit us for placements are TCS, Cognizant, Accenture, PTC, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Microsoft, Nvidia and many more big tech companies. Currently the percent of students getting placed is 86 percent. The college also helps you if you want to study further and pursue masters or MBA here or abroad. I myself am planning to go abroad for further studies
The fees structure is somewhat like this...it's about 1.10 lakh per year for general category student who don't have any scholarships or financial aid. There are Mahadbt scholarships available that are given for OBC, SC,ST and EWS sections. This college fees in all inclusive of the development and lab fees..yet we have to pay the exam form fees separately each semester. Some of my batch mates have applied for the scholarship and they have been given the consession in amount of fees...Like the OBC category student only has to pay around 65,000 per year...while a SC or ST student has to pay around 8 - 10,000
Sinhgad Institute are very well known for their Events and Fest. We have a Sinhgad Carnival in the month of October usually and the biggest fest Sinhgad Karandak or Sinhgad spring fest or the Techtonic usually in February and March. Sinhgad institute campus is a well spread over around 150 acres with multiples colleges, school and hostel facilities. Campus also has a Library where thousands of books are available for every course. Library is 24/7 open for students and can occupy well over a 1500 to 2000 students at a time. The campus also consist of sports complex and turns and ground for the sports event that are conducted throughout the year. There are numerous clubs, social, cultural, sports, or technical related that student can join for their extra curricular activities. Students also run institutes social media handle and other websites
I've lived in the college hostel for a year and it is decent as per hostels go. You've to opt for hostel separately. Then you're alloted with a hostel and a mess after all the payment and formalities are done. Hostel and mess fees I paid was 72,000 and without mess option is also available that goes for 56,000. You're alloted a hostel according to your year of study and college so you're not separated from your batch mates. The mess food is also not bad and you can opt to change the mess if you have an issue with it. Besides college hostel there are a lot of options. There's private hostels, pgs, and flats on rent are also available. The rent and deposits for these facilities depend upon the location and amenities provided.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
