The entrance test for all Manipal colleges is the MET - Manipal Entrance Test. Good aspects include diversity in crowd, excellent and new amenities, good infrastructure, being a new campus, and good extra curricular activities. Bad aspects include lack of placement data , being a new college so there can be trust issues, and there is still parallel construction going on that can cause some minute hindrance. And the faculty in some cases is not up to standard in terms of teaching and presentation of topics. The admission is done only through MET ENTRANCE as mentioned, preparation is just JEE Mains syllabus which will suffice, cut -offs differ each year for each campus, with MIT Manipal receiving highest cutoffs, followed by MIT Bengaluru.
I chose my course since Cyber Security is an upcoming domain and has high scope in the future . The faculty is average to above average but concepts can be grasped . Teaching methods is through white board and ppt presentation, which is good. There is one mid term exam , quiz and assignment in between, and end semester examination too. Difficulty level is medium to hard , since Manipal is autonomous and is known for its quality of exams.
Internship opportunities provided are aplenty with IBM, Infosys, Goldman Sachs frequently looking for new interns from MIT BLR, and roles offered include Developer Roles, and Data Analyst roles. Projects can include making a website , pre training an AI model etc.
Placements usually begin with pre placement offers around the 2nd sem of the 3 rd year, and the 4th year devoted entirely to placements. Visited companies include Infosys, Microsoft, IBM, etc. , and placements are centralised with the main campus of Manipal in Udupi. Highest package isn't certain due to ongoing placement process but it can go upto 35-40 lpa and average can be around 10-12 lpa. Percentage of students getting placed differ batch to batch, with IT, CSE CORE getting the better share of offers. My plans after getting the degree would probably be to do MBA abroad or get placed in a good company.
The tuition fee for Engineering is generally around 3,18,000 rupees and other academic fees are 1,91,000 rupees, and total course fees are 5,09,000 rupees. The one - time fee is 10,000 rupees usually - all for General Category. Total course fees for NRI / FOREIGN students is 14,100 USD. Management quota is not there in Manipal, it's always merit based.
Campus life is one of the best experiences in Manipal. With excellent extra curricular facilities and amenities like gym, football field and basketball court, and many vibrant events organized by the management including dj nights, etc., campus life is never boring with always something to look forward to. Library is well established with ample books including those non academic related. Classroom amenities are aplenty including AC classrooms , and good desks. There are plenty clubs run by students including LitSoc, Photography Club, Endurance - The Sports Club and many more with engaging events for the students.
I was in the hostel in my first year, they are well furnished , new in condition, good infrastructure, Applying for hostels can be done through SLCM - Manipal's website. They are priced around 1.5 - 2 lakhs with triple sharing, double sharing as well as suite options, along with AC options. Mess quality is average to above average with special dishes served especially on weekends.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
