- i think our college infrastructure is made quite well...all the academic blocks are located right next to each other including the library building and the hostels are located slightly away but the mess and all the gym and sports facilities are located near each other.
- another thing i really like is that we have a grocery store in the ground floor of our hostek building which is equipped with all necessities we also have multiple mess-owned restuarants which have amazing food and we also have a stationary shop , sports complex , salon and copy shop.
- another wonderful thing is laundry . we can give laundry for a total of 30 times during a year and we can give up to 6kgs laundry each time. this really helps a lot as students dont have to wash their own clothes.
Dislikes
- i think one thing that can be improved is that we are allowed to order food from outside (ex : swiggy , zomato) only upto 11pm i wish this could be extended.
- we are also not allowed kettles inside hostel which would otherwise be really helpful to hostel students. althogh we do have two common kettles on each floor its still better and more hygienic to have your kettle if it was allowed.
Remarks :
we faced an online on-site multiple choice question test called MET (manipal engineering test) for admission and admission was given based on the rank of this entrance. i choose this college because the manipal name is very good and bangalore is the city i live in. so i can enjoy hostel life and home also at the same time. this was a better option than MIT manipal because bangalore has many IT companies hence better chance of guest lectures from sucessfull leaders as well as eventually better placements.
Course Curriculum Overview :
i choose compute science and engineering core without any specialization as rather than being tied to a specialization from day one i can have more oppurtunities and choose a subject i am more interested in later on. the faculty use a combination of preseting material on a projector screen and writing on a whiteboard which are present side by side. i find this really heplpfull as we can see both the content side by and side and even if we sit back the font will be visible because the boards are huge. we have 10 marks mcq quiz , 10 marks assignment , 30 marks mid sem(10 marks mcq+20 marks theory) and then 50 marks of endsem. quiz assignment and midsem are of relatively easy dfifficulty whereas endsem is harder becasue the paper comes from main campus.,
Internships Opportunities :
so far i havent opted for any internship. during the first two years of of my studies , I prioritized strengthening my academic foundation and honing my technical skills. this approach has allowed me to build a strong base and I am now looking forward to exploring internship oppurtunities that allign with my career goals.
Placement Experience :
the basic criteria is having a cgpa above 7 and if you have cgpa of 8 and above you can sit for a 100% of the companies that come. as of now i am not much aware of the placement details so far as our first batch is getting placed this year and official details havent been released. my plan are degree is to work for two years and then go for masters abroad.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
the first year fees was around 6 lakhs and the second lakh fees is 5.09 lakhs this includes tuition fees and lab fees. registration fees for counselling is around 10,000 and caution deposit is 10,000.
Campus Life :
we have two fests a year one each sem. falak which is our cultural fest during odd semester and nexus which is our technical fest duing even semester. all the reference books advised by faculty as well as extra books are available in the library having around 20-30 copies each. recently our library building has finished construction so im sure there will be much more books in them. books can be borrowed for 15 days. amenities in class include desks , chairs , fans , ac , multiple tube lights , projector , class recorder and whiteboards.
Hostel Facilities :
we have two messes chefs touch and blue dove. both messes provide excellent food and we also have the option to switch between messes.registration process for hostel is quite simple once we confirm admission to MIT we get a mail with a link which opens rankwise and then we can choose the room of our choice. honestly for the quality of the rooms for example mine which is two sharing with ac and attached washroom the price is worth it and we can also get housekeeping done everyday.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

Placement Experience :
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
