Actually the college comes under University of Delhi, so i had give CUET examination for getting admission and eventually had to clear the cut off for the college as well. The cut off for general category is quite high though.
The faculty of the college is real nice, they all are overqualified professors, all with phd degrees and a lot of experience. They also teaches fine but some of them are really bad at giving internal marks, this is a problem every DU student encounters. Also the curriculum is quite satisfactory.
I've not gotten any internship yet as I'm just in first year. It has been only 3 months to me entering the college but I'll try to get some if possible because for CAT experience and exposure is real needed.
Internship opportunities are available here and people do get it if they're skilled. I heard from some seniors that highest package was around 12-14 lpa and the average package is around 3-4 lpa which quite decent for the fee we pay.
I belong to general category so the fees for the course was approx 15,850/-. Exam fees for this semester is 1,510/-. And out the category thing, I don't have much idea as such but yes with category people do get concession.
The campus life is quite nice, fests are also there but not that much as college doesn't allow people. The library is well equipped and a good place to study so. There are a lot of societies so you can join any as per your interest which helps you a lot in personality development and socializing. So we basically have a good social life.
No there are no hostels available in the college which sometimes is a drawback but nearby in Lakshmi Nagar, Karol Bagh, you've a lot of pg options. I've rented a flat with my brother in Patel Nagar.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
