I was personally looking for chemical engineering and after not being able to join one of the top NIT's, RV was my last resort for a good college with over-avg. Placements and opportunities. Also considering im from banglore RV was the 2nd best option for chemical engineering all over karnataka after NIT suratkal in 1st place
The college being autonomous follows VTU curriculum while having its own authority. The faculties are very experienced in their domains of knowledge while also technologically advanced when it comes to teaching methods. Each semester has 3 internals for theory, 1 lab internal, 1 sem end final exams and 1 lab exeternals, and the difficulty level is well set up to keep students under high performance, revised and confident in their subjects
Most of the companies coming for placement offer an internship/trainee role for few initial months and are converted to permanent employee's depending on the performance of the student in the internship period, while the job role offers seem pretty unpleasent, they inturn are very valuable and have qulaity in the experience that could be gained in those companies
The campus placements are in a better state compared to most of the Engineering colleges in India considering the current situation, a lot of companies are offering decent packages for students who are sitting for on campus placements, the highest placement this year was 68 lpa in CS dept. With avg package of 23.45 lpa in the same dept., while in chemicalz the avg is around 8 lpa. Almost 66% of CS branch is already placed while other branches are at around 30-40% of students are placed. I personally plan on higher studies.
I personally got in through KCET entrance exam eligible only for karnataka citizen students, while there is COMEDK available for students who want to join this college while not being from karnataka, through KCET the annual fee rounds up to 1 lakh per annum while for COMEDK merit the fees can range from 2-2.5 lakh, the management seats are pretty expensive for circuital branches like CS, EEE, EC, AIML, etc... While for non-citcuit branches Chemical, Mechanical, Aerospace, etc., the fees is currently 5-6 lakh per annum, through merit the college is very affordable and worth it but for a management student it might feel a little difficult in the beginning depending on their schooling experience. But point to be noted that the fees does have an annual increment close to 1 lakh depending on the course.
The college is mostly authorised by its very own students when it comes to extra curricular activities, and you can find a lot of helping hands in this campus while even teachers are very nice when it comes to 1 on 1 conversations. The infrastructure has improved by a very big margin in the last 3 years and most of the under construction sites on campus will be completed soon so the infrastructure is going to improve even more in the upcoming future.

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
