- no common rooms for boys and girls.. no good cafetria area
- no availability of hostels for boys and no auditorium
Remarks :
By NEET UG exam conducted by NTA.. preparation after 12th class and then appearing for exam.. according to marks and cutoff seats are provided.. this is a govt college for which at my time 402 marks were required out of 720 mine were 422
Course Curriculum Overview :
i have always been fascinated by medical courses so decided to appear in the exam.. provided with BDS seat at this college . we have all the branches of dentistry available under one roof with highly qualified faculty..teaching method can be frustrating sometimes because professors are doctors first and then lecturers so some knows art of teaching practical knowledge is vast as we deal with patients on daily basis and operate on them according to our own knowledge.. ofcourse always an attending is there to check upon us.. exam pattern is nice.. we have mid terms which are conducted when 50% of yearly syllabus is completed.. then send ups which are like pre finals and then final exams which are reviewed by Atal Medical Research University.
Internships Opportunities :
our college provide internship with stipend of 17000 per month.. internship is 1 year long with postings in every department and doing required patient work and taking care of OPD.. each student is made capable to do work by their own and not to be dependent on anyone
Placement Experience :
for placement there is no direct interview or anything like that but that is the case of medical field not just our college.. you have to appear for NEET MDS for PG studies or you can appear for commission exam for MO posts..
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
1st year 45000 2nd year 37000 3rd year 37000 4th year 37000 5th year internship with stipend 17000 per month tution fees 32000 and remaining 5000 are for security purposes. technically all money spent is returned during internship
Campus Life :
we have our fest named Eruption which is conducted in month of May- June.. may vary if examinations are ongoing.. its a week full of different extracurricular activities with sports and cultural events.. all students come under one roof and celebrate the essence of our culture.. we have our own library with variety of books and thesis.. sports are a huge event in the college.. all the dental colleges of himachal come together for intercollege sports events with cricket being main highlight.. and annual functions and cultural events such as differnt dances and singing competitions.. group performances etc henna competitons, best of waste.. fashion shows are organised nearly evry year to boost morale of the students. CSCA and Rotaract groups are the major working groups from are college working towards betterment of college as well as society.
Hostel Facilities :
applying for hostels for girls is easy but sadly there is no hostel accommodation for boys due to lack of space in city of shimla generally.. girls hostel is pretty decent with 2 girls of same faculty sharing room provided with 3 meals and snack time..

placement are good many cse students have package in crores i think cse nad ece branch is good but other branch package is around 10 lakh if i would suggest students i suggest go for cse or ece branch because in the era of artificial intelligence nad machine learning these two branches are booming and the package are also best in these branches you can also try for gate exam after the civil mechanical or electrical you can get jib in public plus private jobs
