I had talk with a counsellor and I wanted to take mechanical engineering only and according to my marks I had this college in my list. Firstly I thought this would be a really good college but turns out it wasn't. Its only good either commute and nothing else.
I had to choose this college because this was the only option I had with good mechanical engineering (apparently). The faculties may be well educated and hold good degrees but 90% of then just read from ppts and only do the work of being strict and putting rules on this and that ... don't do this don't do that Where's ur I'd Where's ur assignemt ,Rather than teaching properly. There were only few tests before autonomy but after being autonomous they conduct many tests without informing a lot times ... they tell the portion but don't tell the dates and time. Sometimes making it difficult to attend dur to some important functions or anything . Can't even change the dates or plans at last moment.
No I haven't taken any internships here but there were paid internships offered to us this semester. There were two one in some place far and one was in chembur in some thermal plant. They inly allow for internships in the sem breaks and not in the sem lectures time
I am currently in the 2nd year so not much knowledge but for my branch mechanical it's just avg. Not too good , you could expect no more than 3-4L package that too for 50% students at most. Paid internships were provided by colleges in sem breaks this year for us.
There's no merit based scholarship there's just caste based reservation and scholarships, one of my st friend he just pays 2000 rupees per year even after belonging to a well to do family. Others have fees of about 50k and 90k whereas general has 1.5L
There'd 2 fest but they both are bad. They take money from the students for the fest compulsorily and we have to participate in atleast a cultural and technical event compulsory. That means you have to compulsory pay the money to them for the fests which are not even good . The faces has good sports opportunity for everyone but other fun cultural activities are nothing in etamax . Its just boring. There are many clubs but all self funded. College provided no funds to any of the clubs. Even BAJA which makes their own buggy and win in competition is self funded by students. College provides literally low money for everything ever after having average 1 Lakh fees per student and having more than 3-4k students in the campus.
The hostel is too strict and for girls it's just a nightmare the Warden is so unnecessarily strict and weird about stuffs . There's a whole different lobby of the girls and their Warden, the ones on her side and kept lenient and others are just tortured. One girl broke her leg from falling down the stairs, she wasn't even allowed to go home or her parents to visit her room. Food and other things are okay not that bas the mess is quite good than the stereotypical mess food of college.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
there are lots of mnc company visted college every year, most of companies have there eligiblity criteria is 60% and above overall from 10th, the biggest tech companies like tcs, wipro, accenture, deloitte, infosys, the average package is around 3lpa, every year 50 to 70% students getting placed.
The placements are nice. Majorly Hafiz contractor firm take students. But a lot of firms do come fruit placement. Take interview and hire students. Last year a lot of students got placements based on their portfolios and skills And got salaries ranging from 2,50,000-6,00,000 Annually.
The placement and job opportunities in college is good the MOU's signed by company are good almost 40-50% of college gets placement remaining go for off campus placements there are companies like TCS , Accenture etc
