I have been living in Bangalore for the past 13 years and wanted to continue living here so i wanted to choose the best college here ,it was the top-rated college through kcet also they have great industry connectojn which help the students secure great packages.we need to secure atleast 50% in your PUC to take admission here.preperation was not that tough because i was preparing for JEE advanced so this cet exam was a piece of cake moreover i had the kashmiri migrant reservation for this exam.the admission process was simple but time consuming and they will do most of the things so you dont need to worry.
the curriculum is very diverse but also very hectic. we have yoga, Indian constitution, Kannada, English as subjects apart from the engineering subjects this wastes a lot of our time in my opinion. The faculty is really helpful and decently qualified.we also have this new concept of experiential learning(EL) this was the worst part of my 1st semester.it is basically making a project in a group of 4 or 5 which revolutionizes the concept or industry.it is a good concept but i dont think they should have given this t us in 1st sem itself because we didnt know any concepts about Arduino, motors, sensors ,etc and we had to pair up with randon strangers because we didnt know anyone.also this activity is done with students from different branches.the exams are easy but happen every 2.5 weeks and there are numerous other tests for labs, quiz, etc.
no but i am trying to get an internship.it is very tough to manage this as of now because i am still settling in this environment. however we have a good chance to land a good internship and job due to great alumni network.
the placements and internship opportunities are one of the plus points for RV because they have good connections and many of the students end up going abroad. The placements are mostly good for cse and ece only. The highest package this year was 96 lakhs from apple. The percentage of student place has dropped this year as seen in other colleges also, but they have still placed around 80% of the students in cse.
there are 3 modes of taking admission in this college that is through, kcet , comedk and managment quota.the fees for kcet student is around 1.08 lakhs(general category),for comedk students it is 2.85 lakhs and for MQ students it varies from branch to branch for example it is 68 lakhs for cse (this is just the admission fee) after this they have to pay 10 lakhs annualy as tution fee. they provide varies reservations and scholarship. for example, sc/st , karnatak- hyderabad border residents, NRI, kashmiri migrant quota(i am one),etc(these reservations are only present in kcet).the registrtion fees for the exam is a s follows: For GM, 2A, 2B, 3A, 3B candidates of Karnataka - Rs. 500/- For SC/ST/CAT-1 candidates of Karnataka - Rs. 250/- For candidates who studied outside Karnataka- Rs. 750/- For NRI candidates- Rs. 5000 in addition to the tution fee we need to pay 30000 anually as the lab fee.
the social life in rv is negligible compared to other colleges there are continuous exams so we dont have any time to relax. We also don't get any breaks like winter breaks.we got only 4 days holiday for diwali out of which 2 days were weekends, after are 1st sem we are only getting a 3 day break to the 2nd sem.the college is only 16 acres out of which rvu occupies most of the nice buildings and the library.the libraries have a large variety of books and the seniors ae helpful. Sports culture does exist but is mainly known for cricket.there are a large number of clubs but if i am being honest i dont get any time for these clubs.
my hostel is pretty good as in the amenities are pretty good. each room has an attached washroom cleaning is done by them the food is also decent, but the rooms are very small and I mean very small, it gets really stuffy during the hot days. The food is also decent on some days but the food in Cauvery mess is really bad and I feel is not even cooked properly.in my hostel there are no seniors so there is no ragging also.
For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc, shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.
the average package is 6 lpa and highest is 14 lpa and there is a placement cell that helps students to get placed. the placement rate of our college is 90%. and the companies come to our college is tcs, tech mahindra, infotech, zelethra, wipro etc.
I got placed in a company called Glory Infinity Private Limited, there other offers from The math school infosys ultratech every student had multiple offers from company. Not A very high packages but good opportunities
The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum
The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.
All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.
For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
