I always wanted to get into a Delhi university college thus I had put CVS in my preference list. In order to get into this college the student has to give the Common University Entrance Test (CUET). After giving the same he has fill application form for Delhi University and put CVS in the preference list. The cut-off keeps on changing. In 2024 one had to get minimum of 728/800 in CUET to get into the college through general category. Other categories cut off were lower.
The course B.com Hons is quite common as it is available in maximum colleges. I chose this course because I had interest in the field of accounting. The faculty are well qualified and experienced plus some of the professors were the author of books that are part of the curriculum of Delhi university. On the other hand, there were many professors that didn't take classes and never completed the syllabus and just took 2-3 classes for namesake. The term exam is moderate in nature except for few subjects like accounting which were quite tough.
Aspire is the training and placement cell of CVS. Some of the prominent recruiters in the past year placement (2023-24) were Deloitte, AON, KPMG, Ernst & Young, Tata consultancy services, Decathlon, Indigo and many more. The yearly fee for the course is ?14,250 and this fee is same for all kind of category student whether it be general, obc, st, sc or other categories. There is no information of the bifurcation of the fees. The college also provides scholarship to students on merit cum need basis. The college every year host their annual fest 'Tatva' in the month of February/march. Other than this fest college societies also host their events and competitions regularly. The campus has a library which is open on every day of week except for Sundays. The library is of two stories which is fully air conditioned (though 1 or 2 Ac's don't work) and has place where students can sit and study. The campus is 10 Acres in size and has a huge football cricket pitch. The college actively participates in sports activities like football, cricket, basketball, volleyball and many more. Though for basketball there is no proper court thus students have to go to a nearby sports complex for practice. There are almost 40+ societies that give a lot of exposure to the students.
The college does not provide any hostel facilities. But there are a lot of pg and Flats available for rent near the colleges. You can find these in Chirag Delhi or Sheikh Sarai. The canteen in the college has affordable foods.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
