- The environment is very positive. Our faculty is pretty good. Microbiology is a good course the practicals we perform r very interesting
- There are many societies which holds fests and give many other extra curricular activities
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is small I'd say according to my expectations and our playground is shared with the neighbouring aryabhatta College
- There isn't any hostel facility. Canteen food is average.
Remarks :
I chose this college because it's the only on campus co-ed college in DU that provides BSc(H) Microbiology I got into RLAC,DU through CUET The cut-off was around 420/600 in cuet 2024 for bsc microbio Pros There aren't any ragging the college has a very positive environment Cons the college lacks infrastructure Microbiology labs has all the necessary equipments but they r smaller in size
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose microbiology because it has a large scope, one can pursue research or get into jobs on various sectors like pharma industries or food testing etc etc The faculty r very qualified, all of them have a PhD The teaching method is usually through Powerpoint presentations There is an end semester exam that happens in the end of semester and it's frequency depends on how long a semester lasts Apart from that we have internals during the semester And assignments
Internships Opportunities :
Interships have to be managed by yourself. When ur ready for a intership you have to search for colleges and companies that offer intership. Colleges like IISERs offer intership However most of them aren't paid internships
Placement Experience :
I don't really have any idea about the placements. Since I'm planning on doing a PhD and giving competitive examinations like IIT jam and GATE. I'm more bent on pursuing research then job so I don't have much information about placements But as from my seniors and other companions i think rla doesn't have recruiters as such
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
General 22670Rs Sc/St 19700Rs Acc to my knowledge I don't think there is any scholarship The fees is paid annually There aren't any such caution fees etc Registration fees etc are paid during counselling which is organised by DU
Campus Life :
Campus life is quite good I'd say There was a freshers in December And apart from that various college societies hold fests Like I'm a part of inara the art society We organised kalakriti - a art fest Apart from that my microbiology society organised Mikrobiologika in which there was quizzes and conversation with 2 scientists We have a playground and one can issue bats ball etc from the sports room Library has all the books required for microbiology RLA doesn't has a hostel
Hostel Facilities :
There's no hostel facility in RLA We have a canteen And the quality of food is average In locality there is satya niketan and Vasant vihar where there are lots of pgs Pg rent is around 10k-12k for double rooms

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
