I heard about this college from my relatives and cousins. Since so many of our family members studied there. And i find this college very easy to fit in. There's no entrance examination for the admission. Student's mark in the higher secondary examination is considered the criteria to get admission. There'll be cut -off in each courses in each year according to the average mark students that applied that year got. After you get your admission, there's no interview or anything such as that.
I chose English literature as my degree course because i was interested in literature since i was a child,. The assistant proffers in our department were all PhD holders. And we had few guest lecturers who came to fill in the permanent post of faculties when they were caught up with NAAC visit last year. These guest lecturers were qualified NET, but didn't have PhD.The end semester exams were conducted at the end of each sem. And each spans 4 months. We had summer 2 month vecation in March and april as summer vecation. Exams mediocre level difficult. But the grading was generous. The teaching method was very conventional , sometimes papers like literary theory and criticism were not teached by them properly since that paper had more emphasis if we were gonna take literature in masters. Engagement with students were not happening enough in some of the classes.
I didn't opt for any internship since I'm doing masters. There are no internships with stipend offered under the collge so far. You'll have to find internships on your on according to your likes. Many of my friends had to find their own internship.
College had an Amazon direct placement call last year. Other than that there are job fairs and all that happens. But no placements are offered by college. I'm doing masters after this degree.I'm doing comparative literature in university of Hyderabad. I attended CUET exam inorder to get admission.
Every year, we paid around 2000 . It includs tuition fee, administration fee, lab fee, library, etc.my course didn't need lab services, so we didn't have to pay for those and those students who received e-grants got discount in exam fees and sem tuition fees. There's also other financial aids and scholarship for students that are backward in financial conditions. eg: higher education, Joseph mundassery, etc. Also Bsc students students who bagged more than 9 CGPA in the sem exams will get a scholarship of 1 lakh rupees.
Campus life in farook college is to die for. 'Fozlava' is the arts fest in farook college, which happens every year. Vibrant colors, eclectic beats, and unbridled energy - our art fest was a true spectacle, a symphony of art, music, and self-expression took over our campus,a fusion of talents, and a celebration of individuality.Sports is also another energetic as well as dynamic fusion of hardwork and talent. NSS Is very active in campus. Glide is a student community in our college that helps students to devolope their public speaking skills, leadership skills, etc. I think farook college has every platform that is needed to upgrade your skills. You just have to find it and make it useful. Also we conducted Tedxfarook college and invited speakers, that was an extraordinary experience. There are steps as our dance club, vibes as music club, strokes as art club and troops as theatre club. There's website made by student in computer science foe the programs in our college.
The menu waa good in hostel but the quality of food was not satisfiable. There are 6 ladies hostels in farook college. The mess fee was affordable. But we had to pay ?2000 as rent for room every month which is very unfair. The locality that the hostel was in is a very quiet and serene. The registration process for hostel was not a big deal except you have tobstand in a line all day. You can choose your roommates. There'll be 4 people sharing a room. The curfew of hostel was at 6 pm which very regressive. Because We couldn't even acess the library after 6.
The eligibility according to our teachers is that we have to get the 7.5 above CGPA and the number of companies that have visited and recruited are TCS Wipro et cetera and the highest package will be to 7 and lowest will be 2 lakh my plan after the degrees that I will opt for higher studies and specialised in some specific course like Java and will look for the companies like that
college provide best on their placements , as a part of making college to be best at the era . principal told to our batch that they will provide 50% of placements , i am glad to be in this batch because sometimes i may get a college placement to make an expirence for the future jobs
I chose Computer Science and Engineering (AI & ML) because of my interest in technology, programming, artificial intelligence, and machine learning. The curriculum follows KTU regulations and covers both theory and practical subjects. Most faculty members are qualified . Internal exams and semester exams are conducted on time. The difficulty level is moderate to a lil bit high and students who attend classes regularly can perform well.
I choose this course because i have a strong interest in history and understanding past events, and culture and their impact on the present.the course curriculam is well structured and covers both core elective subjects, giving a balanced understanding of historical concepts.
There are few placement opportunities like infosys but we can't opt for high salary paying jobs.I am planning to complete mtech after graduating btech. There are many students with jobs from college selection but I don't like many jobs from college as per their salary
The faculity is generally experienced and supportive most students are satisfied. With the teaching clinical exposure. Facilities are friendly with the students. Regularly conducts class test and model exam to help students prepare for their studies and university examination. Faculties are high qualified and experienced
Most of the faculties are bds or mds graduated and well knowledged. Classes are mainly powerpoint presentation based and seminars. There are 2 internals and one model examination based on which qualification for university exam is determined.
I love zoology.. I want to build my career on this subject. My faculty has phd.. She teaches well.. I could understand all concepts very easily. There are internal exams. I am studying four year fyugp course. So there is only one internal. And then there is sem exms at last. If u study well u could score good marks. Little difficulty
As I'm a first year student I've not got information about the placement but there are so many placement options from South Indian Bank, icici bank and also from companies like deliotte etc The college has connection with many international companies too.
Minimum criteria for placement is for a student with minimum arrears.Even though supply there if you have skill then you will be placed .Amal Jyothi has a better placement compared to other college and is very good
