Nmims is one of the best colleges in india for statistics so that's one of the reasons, the others reason is the placement and the campus. The entrance exam is called mst and it's syllabus is made of logic, maths and English, I took me 1 month to prepare also you need to get 50% in 12 grade
The course is very well designed to the needs of the current job profile of stasticians. The faculty recruitment is absolutely wonderful as they are very patient and knowledgeable, while teaching they ensure that all the concepts are well understood. As for their teaching methods they give us a lot of practice sums to do so that we are independent and do not face any difficulties. The term exams are 6 months apart and their difficulty is rated 8/10.
No I have not because I am a first year student, although our college does encourage us to look for internships side by side on platforms like intern shala and so on. Along with that in 2 year we would be working on projects with our professors for industry experience.
Our college provides excellent placement and along with placements we also get referrals to some of the best universities in the world like the London school of economics, and many more. The big names of recruiters are delloid, amazon, Google, hdfc bank. The average package is about 10 lacs and the highest was 22 lacs. As for my plans are after degree I will do my MSc and then go for a job
Well there were no other hidden charges, but the there is an entrance exam fee which is 2000 per attempt and there are 3 attempts in total. After that the result is announced and admission booking is started.
Our clg is a group of colleges so we have a fest every few days or so, for the same reason we have 5 libraries thereby increasing our options for good books. Our clg does host a lot of sporting events and recently we just had Our sports day. There are my communities like the book club, e sports club, then there are the management teams like marketing, pr, etc.

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
