Remarks :

I chose this college because this was the only college which was ready to enroll students irrespective of their diploma percentage, which means everyone was welcome for admissions without any requirements. The admission process is straight-forward and simple, you provide your personal details, choose the branch, and pay the initial fees (Rs. 10000 in my case which is included in the fee structure) to finalise admission. The college does not conduct any kind of entrance exams, which means everyone is welcome to enroll.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The course I have opted for is B.Tech in CSE which is one of the most popular Engineering courses because it provides better placements opportunities. The faculty of Sandip University is not the same as before and now it feels like the faculty members are randomly assigned to teach subjects to students which means the faculty does not have the practical/hands-on experience to be able to teach subjects properly. The teaching method is good as almost all the classrooms take advantage projectors which are helpful for students to learn quickly. The exams are held almost every 1.5-2 months period, first one is the college internal exam, and the other one is the final semester exam. The college exams are fairly easy and just need a bit of learning, but the final exams demand deep knowledge and understanding in order to ace the exams.

Placement Experience :

The placements at Sandip University is okay and not the best compared to it's competition. Few giant companies like QSpiders, Intellipaat, and Accenture recently visited the college for mass hiring. The highest package offered till date is 9LPA which was offered by Intellipaat, and the average package according to my estimation is 3.5-4LPA. Most of the students are not interested in placements and don't even apply, no more than 5% students are actually placed because students are simply not interested in placements, they are only here to enjoy their college life. I plan to join the IT industry in Pune after I graduate from Sandip University.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The yearly fees is Rs. 112000/year and it has been the same for the past two years. The college does not provide detailed fee structure like the tuition fee, development, etc. There is no reservation benefits for any category students, which ultimately results in the same fee structure for everyone.

Campus Life :

The Sandip University's campus life is by far the best, as the college hosts events every now and then to keep the involvement alive and memorable, as well as competition. The college hosts tech fests twice every year, one in the month of March (usually) and the other in November (most of the time). There are a lot of clubs in Sandip University, although I'm not a big fan of clubs, I'm aware of the MESA and CESA which are actively monitored by the Mechanical and Civil students. The college library is big and the availability of the books is quite impressive. There are almost all kinds of books you will find and the college does not restrict the availability of books based on your branch. The college has their own sports team and they actively promote sports engagement like the cricket, and the football team. If you're good at sports then you should definitely consider Sandip University as great support and environment is provided based on your performance.

An industry focused learning experience

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
