My JEE rank was not so good, so better option was engineering colleges in Karnataka. So I gave COMED-K exam. I got 111/180. Subjects syllabus was same as JEE-Mains but bit easy and more theoretical. I secured AIR 9203. I went for counseling then, I got EEE stream in BIT college. At my time, BIT was in 4th rank under COMED-K engineering colleges. The bad aspects of BIT is that there was no proper campus, there was only two buildings. No sports ground, nothing well facilitated complexes. It really lacked in cultural activities, co-curricular activities. Also, partiality was the big disadvantage while studying because professors used to give unwanted advantage to local people. Also placement cell work was medicore for bringing Good core companies and well reputed companies related to Electronics and Electrical branches. The good aspects was teaching was really good, course coverage was good and regarding academics continuous exposure used to provided.
I had keen interest in electronics and electrical, so I opted this course. Course curriculum was well structured but some unnecessary subjects which have no use in 7 and 8 semester was there which was really frustrating during studying. In my stream, more focus was given to Electrical domain because most of the faculties were from that domain. Senior faculties were well- qualified, distinguished professor which were good in every aspects. But junior and young were really bad. They taught really bad some 2-3 important subjects which really hamper our hold in that subjects. Teaching method was more of theoretical and computational. It was really tough to sustain in EEE branch as courses are really advanced one. Getting good cgpa is a challenge. 2-3 unit tests used to be conducted once in a month. Unit tests were moderate level. Final exams level was moderate to tough.
Placements and job opportunities are really good for CS, IT, AI-ML department with high packages. But for EE, ECE big core companies doesn't participate. So many students moves to low paying core jobs or software roles. Robert Bosch came and took 8-10 students from my batch with 5.5L, Capgemini took 2 students from my batch with 4.5 and 6.5L. I opted for higher studies so I didn't seat for placement.
I joined through COMED-K exam. At COMED-K counselling after accepting the seat, for first year part of tuition fee ie., ?55,000 has been paid there and rest ?1,83,600 paid in college. So total fee is ?2,11,350 and same it was for other three years. Out of ?2,11,350, Admission fee- 27,750; Tuition fee - ?183600. People who joined through Karnataka entrance exam i.e, K-CET the total fees was varied from ?45,000-?66,000. For management quota, total fees around ?12-?14 lac. Reservation for SC,ST, OBC was applied only for state people. Also for minorities quota, reservation can be availed by state people. SC,ST people paid ?0 tuition fee only admission fees. Minorities used to avail govt scholarship vary from ?6000-?12000 per year. Apart from this during exam enrollment fees varies from ?500-?1800 per sem. After graduation, charges for issuing Provisional Degree Certificate(PDC) and transcript is ?450 and ?800 respectively.
Fest was conducted in April-June named MANTHAN. Books availability was not an issue at all. Library facilities was also really well maintained. Inter department sports meet usually take place in January-February month. There's also inter-college sports meet of VTU colleges. Same with singing, dance and drama(but only in kannada). Proper exposure in co-curricular activities are not available in this college. Rotaract was the famous club during my time in the college. Diminished is for singing and music. Dance club BIT is for dance. TADS is newly formed theatre group. Robolution is group related to robot and automation.
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
