Likes
- The infrastructure of college is excellent as it provides HighTech facilities, good classrooms, well maintained labs. The college have more than sufficient faculty for each subject. The facilities provided for sports is also very nice.
- Here we have good campus life as the interaction between the students is nice. here we get platform to socialize with other fellow mates, good alumni connection and overall good experience because of all the facilities available in campus itself.
Dislikes
- AS because of course curriculum the classes are from morning till evening for 6 days a week which is quiet frustrating and tiring for the students to manage with, also the college campus is in huge area of 1300 acres of land which makes it difficult for the students to reach their respective departments every other time if they lack with their own vehicles.
- The college is less student friendly because of its strict rules and regulations as if in the medical conditions also they give 10% concession on attendance otherwise the student might get shortage of attendance and may have to extend the degree for a year.
Remarks :
While selecting the college UAS Bangalore it ranked 6th among all agricultural universities in India. as it is situated in the Bangalore metropolitan district which made it an attractive place to study, and it also allows for more exposure to the students. I got this college through ICAR AIEEA UG examination (All India Students can give) in which I scored 99%ile and got this college in first counselling itself. another exam for getting admission into this college is KCET which is for local Karnataka students. As I was admitted through ICAR I had not given any other interview or other physical exams. Cutoff for this college through ICAR AIEEA is around 98%ile. I had prepared for the exam from coaching centers and took full year preparation for this exam and gave weekly tests.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because Agriculture is a growing sector and in future there will be more opportunities in this field related to research as well as in trading market. The course curriculum is also designed like it gives opportunities to study diverse subjects from Mathematics to microbiology, from statistics to economics and other agriculture related subjects such as agronomy, horticulture, soil science, plant breeding, genetics, biotechnology, English, extension, crop physiology, food science. Here they follow semester system, so they conduct final external exams every semester and before that they conduct midterm examination and practical exams for every semester.
Internships Opportunities :
In our degree program, our last year i.e. 4th year is for practical knowledge so we go for RAWE (Rural Agriculture Work Experience), Agro Industrial Attachment, from which we get knowledge as well as stipend of 24000 for the 4th year 1st semester and in 2nd semester of 4th year we have experiential learning program or Hands on training in which we choose to subjects for which we learn about proper practical knowledge and try to sell our produce in the market to know the response and the profit is distributed among the students.
Placement Experience :
The placement rate is low for the agricultural campuses still our college tries best to get their students a job. around 3.5 lakh per annum CTC is offered for the students after graduation. Many students prepare for the government exam like AAO, AO, FSO, FCI, AFO, Bank PO, UPSC, State PSC, KVK job recruitment, NABARD exams, Post Graduate studies, off campus placements can be taken through giving our CV to directly to the companies as many companies are Bangalore based, and new startups are there to work for. My plan is to pursue MBA after the degree to get higher package.

Campus Life :
fresher's party organized around the month of April. college Day and hostel day is celebrated in the month of May. Karnataka Rajyotsava is celebrated in the month of November and many other fests are being organized according to the festivals. College has its own cultural team which actively organize these events. College has its own library which provides vast varieties of books of the other exam as well as subject interested books. Classrooms are well maintained with the smart boards and other modern facilities. College has good playground for different sports such as different grounds for Cricket, football, basketball, Kabaddi, badminton, table tennis, swimming pool and other individual sports. cultural club, magazine committee, Ambedkar group.
Hostel Facilities :
Yes, I stay in hostel. The hostel is a good option to stay in a city like Bangalore as it is a cheaper option for accommodation. The hostel food is not up to the mark especially for the North Indian students like me. Overall infrastructure of the hostel and the whole campus is very nice. Registration of hostel is offline and a very easy process to do and every student can avail the hostel room for their stay as they have good number of rooms. approx. the students get hostel+mess bill around RS3000-3500/month.

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The criteria is the cgpa should be above 7 and the companies visited are wipro, flipkart, amazon etc. the highest package is 48 lakh per annum and lowest pacuis 3 lakh per annum and the average is 6 lakh per annum

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
