The university has excellent faculty. The infrastructure is also quite good. The admission process is via an entrance followed by interview. The written test checks your logical, verbal reasoning and general capacity to articulate. The interview will have subject specific questions and will test your personality. Having volunteering or social help experience will give a better chance of admission, since the college has such a vision.
The faculty are graduates from excellent universities all over the world and teaches very well. They currently work in the fields that they teach making them up to date on contemporary issues of the subject. The teaching style is lecture based but emphasizes on class discussions and assignments. There is enough attention to given to the current day application of the things taught, it is not merely textbook based. The exams are on the tougher side, it demands consistent effort and focus to get good grades. Your grade is through assignments and exams both.
There are research assistant positions, student assistantships and internship opportunities available. The cells as such do not provide you with internships, for undergraduate students in the final year they can choose to do an internship or research. The internships during summer breaks are usually found by students themselves. The course end internship opportunites are provided by the college through the occupational track courses which students select upon the start of the course.
Placement is usually availed by master's students here, but undergraduate final years also sit for placements. The placements is oriented such that most of the recruiters are NGO's. It does not call private companies for recruitment as it does not align with the motto of the college to serve social good. The recruters are foundations and NGO's like Antara foundation, Azim Premji Foundation, Peepul, Reliance Foundation etc. The average package is 70,000/- per month. About 95% students who sit for placements get placed. I do not plan on sitting for placements, I plan to pursue master's.
The tuition fee is to be paid per semester. Scholarship is available for students, it is a need based only scholarship. No merit based scholarship. Food scholarship is also available in addition which will be offered to the students by the university.
The university has many clubs and cells like the dance club, debate club, placement cell, social enterprise cell, movie club etc. which keeps the students engaged and entertained. The college fest is a fun filled three day event called Unmukt, happening in March. The university also has a sports fest called Espirit that happens usually in February. It is also a three day event. The clubs organize regular student led activities like open mic, dance night, DJ night etc. on weekends and festive holidays.
The undergraduate program at Azim Premji University makes it compulsory for students to stay in the hostel, it is a fully residential program. The hostel rooms are in a 40 floor building within the campus, 15 min away from the class room buildings. The rooms are shared between two people, the mess is not great but ok for university life. The quality keeps varying. The hostel rooms are sufficiently big for students and come with a cupboard, table, chair and bed and mattress.

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
