Likes
- I like how the strictness is school like which forced the students to attend lectures. If found wandering in the lobby, the teachers question you and send you to the classes
- I like how attendance record in maintained and parents are informed if their child in missing classes.
- I like that students are given some degree of freedom at the beginning of semester but becomes strict as exams approach
- I like how the college brought zenith to teach us how to clear aptitude round for placement preparation
Dislikes
- I dislike the college library as there is not enough space to accommodate students
- I dislike the food offered in canteen and also the dim lighting they have there
- I dislike how poorly the ground is maintained and sports equipment provided by college to regular students is of low quality
- I dislike the way some teachers act like they are at the top of this world when they can't even teach their own subjects properly
- I dislike the poor flow of information in the college. Many things are told on the spot or after you reach the college instead of prior whatsapp messages
Remarks :
I was allotted this college in 1st round of IPU counselling based on performance in JEE mains. The staff was supportive in documentation process but the college was not clear regarding the documents required during admission.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Some faculty are highly qualified to the level of over qualification while some lack even basic information and etiquettes required for a being a teacher. Each semester involves 2 exams- midsems and end semesters. The midsems are organised 3 months after the beginning of semester and take 2 weeks for theory and practicals. The new students would have to give 2 midsems but am unaware of their structure
Internships Opportunities :
I don't have any idea about that. I am currently in 6th sem and intership opportunities are provided by college after completion of 3rd year as it becomes compulsory for students to go for an internship during the break given after 3rd year. It was also compulsory to undergo some sort of internship and training during the break given after 2nd year.
Placement Experience :
The eligibility criteria for being able to sit in placements is a minimum of 7 CGPA. The highest on campus placement is 44 LPA and the highest off campus placement is 66 LPA. The average package is 8 LPA but has been declining after Corona era. If I get a good job, I plan to take it but if I don't get one, I would pursue higher education
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees for 1st year's has been increasing every year for last 3 years. I have no idea about the fee structure of students belonging to other backgrounds. The donation amount for management quota is around 10-15 lakhs payable one time.
Campus Life :
Only one fest every year. This year it has even been postponed. No encouragement towards sports. My friends group tried organising a inter college cricket tournament but were harshly declined. The Library is not big enough to accommodate students and lacks in books too. Most societies both tech and non-tech are self funded. The college does not support such activities but actively take credit when students achieve something.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
