Remarks :
I chose the college since there were people around me who graduated from this college and got decent placements. Also, adding to that its strong positive reputation, good placement and my rank played huge role in the decision. The college has a well-established alumni network too. Admission is based on Karnataka CET (KCET), COMEDK, or Management Quota. The cut-off varies each year but have gone bit lower in the last few years. The demand is usually high for CSE and ISE branch, which are best in all regards in the college. The preparation for both the exams are based on the Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics, practicing previous years' question papers and mocks will help a lot. Attempting all the questions is important and thus time management is key. Good: Placements, Student Clubs, Campus and connection with all the transport facilities. Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose CSE because of the interest and opportunities in the sectors. The college focuses more on the traditional subjects such as OOPS, DBMS, OS, etc., but catching on the AI, Data Science and other booming trends. New branches are still under other old branches and will take few years to be developed so choose carefully. The faculty for CSE is qualified and knowledgeable in traditional concepts of the field and catching up in the new sectors. The labs are decent and enough for everyone need. There are two internal examination and one external, you need to score more than 40% in each one. This is same in all the colleges as well as need to have 85% minimum attendance to be eligible.
Internships Opportunities :
Internship are provided at campus if you are not able to get during placements, there is decent opportunity to get one during third year. You should try to get one from off-campus which will be better than the college ones in general, but college also participates in few companies process such as JP Morgan, Morgan Stanley, Cisco,et.
Placement Experience :
Placements at SIT are good, especially for Information Science and Computer Science. Highest package: 40 LPA at Arctic Wolf, Average package: 7 to 8 LPA for CSE. There are many mass recruiters which visit the campus, including TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture. Around 80% placement for software and circuit branches, a bit lower in other branches.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fee for the college is now increased to Rs 3,05,000 for the 2024 batch and keep increasing every year. The fee includes all the fees such as tuition fees, lab fees, examination fees and other miscellaneous charges. There is multiple Quota's in the college the information provided above is for Comedk General and Management Quota, added you have to pay extra fees as donation for Management quota seat. The KCET students have to pay around Rs 84,000 per year. There are special seats for Nepal and J&K students with very minimal fees in total. Additionally, there are programs to support single girl child students too. The hostel fee is same for all the students but there is reduction for J&K and Nepal students. It's around Rs 92,000 for current year of 2024-25.
Campus Life :
Life at SIT is decent mix of academics and extracurriculars. The campus has vibrant mix of students, with various clubs from robotics, coding, event management, theatre, dance, music, and debating. There are also clubs like GFG, TedX and Corsit, which is in collaboration with IIT, Bombay. There are three fests: summer fest called Halcyon is the biggest, Spandana and Radiance. The fests are decent but not as vibrant compared to banglore college campuses. The library and sports are decent and improvement in both is underway. The student-run groups are one of the best in the region and enjoyable.
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel facilities are decent, providing a comfortable place for students. There are separate boys' and girls' hostels, with various room options available. The hostel mess provides vegetarian food, with fixed menu that include a mix of North and South Indian dishes. The food is average. There are only few options available at nearby restaurants.

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

Eligibility for the placements is 7+ cgpa if you have higher cgpa higher the chances of you getting shortlisted for the interview and it will be easy for you Recuriters visited Cisco,Visa,Emerson,NetApp and many more for the internships and full time Highest package is 56 LPA and average package will be around 10 LPA for the computer science and Engineering for other branches it may vary
