To begin with Mysore is a great city to live in. It's the cultural capital of karnataka. For my rank I would have got seat in any banglore's good engineering college too but I chose to come here. The campus is huge and very green.
Faculties are very friendly and approachable to the students. The principal and hod's are also available to the students anytime. They have a great teaching staff. Some faculties are a Lil rude yes but largely they are all very nice.
I'm yet in first year so I haven't started with my internship yet but our seniors have got good internship offers as the college is tied up with huge and mnc companies like Bosch ( for cse department).
We have very good placements record in our college. My branch cse, has tied up with companies like Bosch will offer internships to the students in the end of second year. Huge companies like sysko wipro and google visit the campus during placements.
There are two types of seats in jss stu through kcet. Unaided and aided. Mine is an unaided seat as my rank is 4.3k. the higher rank students get the aided seat which is half the fees of the unaided one.
Campus life is quite happening. We don't have too many huge fests yes but the annual jayciana is a huge fest. We have many many clubs like music dance trek coding business etc. the music and dance clubs of jss are very famous.
Yes I do stay in hostel. The hostel facilities for first and second years girls is in a place hootagahalli which is 6 kms away from campus. Transport is not a problem as we are provided with bus at our class timings. Third and fourth year hostel is in- campus. Boys hostel is in the campus itself.
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
