JSS Science and Technology University (JSSSTU), established in 2016, is built on the strong legacy of SJCE, Mysuru, and is approved by both UGC and AICTE. The university offers various undergraduate, postgraduate, and Ph.D. programs with diverse specializations. In the JSS STU Ranking 2024, IIRF ranked it 10th out of 160 colleges in the overall category, while NIRF placed it in the 202-300 band among 300 engineering colleges in India.

JSS STU offers BTech as its flagship program. To be eligible, candidates must have passed the PUC/10+2 examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects, along with Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology, securing a minimum of 45% marks (or 40% for reserved category candidates). Admission is based on scores from the COMEDK UGET or KCET examinations, with the KCET 2024 cutoffs for BTech Computer Science Engineering (CSE) being 4319 and for Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) being 6342. The total course fee for BTech CSE is INR 4.17 lakhs.

Over 900 students were placed at JSS STU Placement 2023-24. The highest CTC offered for BTech graduates was INR 60 LPA. The median CTC offered was INR 9 LPA. Top recruiters were Toshiba, Jacobs, Micro Focus, InfoEdge, Allen Digital, Alstom, Microchip, Quinbay, Thales, Nokia, Etc.
