JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATE) Bangalore began in 1997 as a private engineering college under JSS Mahavidyapeetha, Mysore. Diploma holders may enter the second year of BE through the lateral-entry route. Each of the eight branches receives extra seats equal to 10% over its sanctioned intake. Depending on the selected branch, the total lateral-entry fee is between INR 3,96,255 and INR 3,98,205.

Admission depends on the chosen programme and seat category. BE applicants use KCET, COMEDK UGET, or the Management Quota, while Karnataka PGCET is part of the admission route for the listed PG courses.

BE Admission

JSSATE Bangalore assigns 45% of BE seats through KCET to Karnataka-domicile applicants. COMEDK UGET is used for 30% of seats and accepts candidates from across India. The remaining 25% of seats fall under the Management Quota, for which an entrance rank is not needed.

JSSATE Bangalore Campus and Infrastructure

JSSATE Bangalore occupies 21.17 acres in Uttarahalli, on the south-western edge of Bengaluru. Its three academic blocks contain classrooms, computer and electronics laboratories, and workshops. Students also have access to a central library with print and digital material, an indoor sports hall, and outdoor sports facilities.
