- Infrastructures I would say it is 6 on 10 and quite backward if you would compare it to top iits but as it developing everyday it would be good in coming years . New hostels are being constructed and the student activity centers are being constructed new lectures are also being constructed and old ones are being renovated.
- Overall campus life is quite happening because there are fests all over the year which make your campus life memorable and this college gives you good peers and competition to make yourself a better place . The academics are. It that hectic and you can enjoy every fest and it is one of the best college in terms of sports facilities but should improve in case of some sports. As a student you can find every game you have ever dreamt of to play . The no. Of clubs is so much huge it gives you a choice to choose your field of interest and even explore new things which you want to try.
Dislikes
- The course curriculum according to me is quite outdated and the teaching style of the faculty is quite old According to me the they should add more practical based cources and the level of labs should be increased so that students can be more interested in doing their cources rather than doing coding while day and ignoring their own branch.
- The most irritating thing about this campus is that it is an open campus which allows the outside peoples to come inside the campus at any time whenever they want with there own vehicles and which makes the campus full of chaos and this also leads to issues with the students . Some students of bhu also try to bully the students of IIT take their raging and also beat them some time but no significant action has been taken on them .
Remarks :
For getting an IIT I have to first qualify the jee mains to be eligible to attempt jee advanced. After cracking jee advanced I researched in my own about colleges I could get at my rank and then came to IIT BHU as its core packages are good than many top colleges . I choose this institute as it is well established college and also it's packages are pretty decent and I this college provided decent brach plus top IIT combinations that's why I choose mechanical over computer science. Good aspects of college are good studies and chill environment as well as decent packages bad aspect of this college is as it is converted to an IIT recently you won't get the privilege like other top iits and the biggest bad aspect of this college is that it is an open campus which allows every one to visit the college which may became a problem for students other than this the institute is good overall.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum of IIT bhi mechanical is good but the professor of mechanical department doesn't easily gives marks . It is comparatively hard to maintain a good cpi in mechanical engineering at IIT BHU as compared to other branches like computer science , electronics electrical etc. The teachers are well qualified and always helpful but some senior teachers are still teaching in old ways . The curriculum is good but it should be changed a bit according to me Currently it's more theoretical than practically adding more practical lab cources would enhance the ability of students to work in industry and meet the standards of the company to be working there . Otherthan that it is a good curriculum as it contains courses from other branches also and you choose open electives and well as department electives.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't got any internship till now as I am only in second year and the internship on campus is offered to third year students only but I have applied for research intern in iiscs and other iits . If you want to internship in my college you can cold mail the professor according to your branch and the professor of your interested field. In third year's first sem the companies come for internship opportunity but it mainly offers cse mnc and ece Some companies also offers the mechanical students but only 20 percent of mechanical student gets a paid internship on campus and other students try to get a research intern or try internship off campus. The internship of this college is not that good it is same situation in every college . Most colleges have the same ratio of internship.
Placement Experience :
Placement of this college is good as you will compare it to other iits of same caliber but as it is not the part of top 7 IIT it's top packages may be less than top iits but if you. Ompare it in the core branches it is good . If you compare it with the newer iits it is good . Nowadays due to the recession the job offers have decreased a bit but I hope it would recover a bit and will be back on track again . In my branch the first phase of placement has been completed and around 65 percent students have been placed with an average ctc of around 20 lakhs overall 60-70 percent has been done in the first phase of placement. The second phase of placement is currently going on . If I didn't get a job offer I would most probably do some sort of buisness as I dont want to study further but might also choose to go for mba which might help me in a long run to start my buisness or even get a high paying job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For a general,gen ews ,obc category student with family income >5 lakh total fees is 210000 per year Breakup of each semester:- One time fees:14750(for first sem only) Tution fees : 1 lakh per sem Other fees per sem :5950 Total 105000 per sem 15000 for mess Some exceptions are given in the tution fees on basis of category and income . On basis of income : 1. Income >5 lakh full fees 2. Income <5 lakh 39500 per sem +15000(mess) 3. Income <1 lakh 5500 per semester+15000(mess) On basis of category: General :full fees General ews:full fees Obc: both ncl and cl full fees Sc /st :5500 per semester There is also fees confession for physically handicapped students Amide being of any category physically handicapped people have to pay only 5500 per semester in fees + message charges 15000.
Campus Life :
Campus life is pretty good . Plenty of events and fests are conducted throughout the year in IIT BHU . Main fests which happen in IIT bhu are kashiyatra which is a cultural fest technex which is technical fest and spardh which is a sports fests other than that we have fmc weekend organised by fmc also there is a e sumit and different events for freshers like saturnalian and intra freshers . IIT BHU has many clubs for every interest you would think of from technical clubs like arromodelling club sae astro club to 6 fmc clubs different cultural clubs product management clubs and talking about the infrastructure it is quite outdated and you can't compare it with top iits but it is developing day by day new hostel are being constructed and facilities like sac are also being constructed to facilitate the students .
Hostel Facilities :
The hostel rooms are alloted according to the hostel decided by the student parliament the first and the second year will get three sharing rooms in the newly built hostel named as pc ray and Satish dhawan respectively. The third year will get aryabhatta hostel which will be a two sharing room and build a little old the 1st and 2nd years hostel but it's a decent hostel room from r a two sharing purpose . And 4th and onwards get hostels according to their branch . Every hostel has its own message with the same fees as every hostel .15000 includes both hostel and message. Every message is decent and uite same it includes breakfast lunch and dinner . Evening snaks are not served in the message . Over message there is also canteens present in each hostel which opens till 4 in the night You can apply for the hostel and message together in the starting of every semester and it is quite worth it for the price.

Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
