- The first thing I love about my college is its beautiful campus and the friendly, helpful crowd. The faculty is also quite good and supportive.
- The second thing is my theatre society, which has played a huge role in boosting my confidence and shaping my personality. It has given me a platform to express myself and grow both personally and creatively.
Dislikes
- The first thing I dislike about my college is the administration. Whenever we need to get some work done quickly, they delay it unnecessarily.
- The second issue is that some teachers don’t understand the challenges faced by students who are active in societies. Being in a society means we can’t attend all classes, but instead of being considerate, some teachers mark us zero in attendance, not even giving 2-3 marks out of 5.
Remarks :
I got admission to this college through the CUET exam. There were no other rounds, just document verification, etc. This college was my 17th preference. There was no group discussions, interviews and written tests. It was a very smooth process after document verification we git acknowledgement slip. Then i started going college.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My course, Political Science, was my first preference as I always wanted to pursue it due to my core interest in the subject. The faculty is good and understanding, though some are not as approachable, but it’s manageable. The term exams are not very difficult—if you study well during the preparatory leaves, you can score good marks. That’s what I do!
Internships Opportunities :
Yes, in my first year, I did an internship, but it was not through the college—I found it on LinkedIn. I worked as a Human Resource intern at LearnX, where my role involved conducting interviews. It was quite good experience
Placement Experience :
Yes, our college has a placement cell, and many companies visit the campus to conduct interviews. However, placements are mainly for commerce students. For other courses, the placement cell helps students find internships. The highest package, as per my information, is around ?40 lakh. The average package varies depending on the company and role. As for my plans after graduation, I aim to prepare for a government job.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The yearly fee is Rs11,500. There is a scholarship of around Rs 50,000 for students who have scored well, but it also depends on the category. The examination fee is Rs1,100. This year, the yearly fee increased by ?500.
Campus Life :
My campus life is really good and interesting. The infrastructure is beautiful and well-maintained. Every department organizes its own fest, and there’s an annual fest called Rhapsody, which happens for two days and features live performances by singers—it's a great experience, and I really enjoy it! The library has books for almost all courses, and for those that don’t, relevant readings are available. Sports facilities are also great, with a variety of games to participate in. There are many clubs and societies, and most of them are completely student-run without any external or internal faculty involvement. I am also a part of the theatre society, which is entirely managed by students.
Hostel Facilities :
I commute from home, so I haven’t opted for a hostel or PG, but some of my friends stay in the hostel. According to them, the hostel mess food is good and hygienic, and on weekends, they even get some junk food. The hostel rooms are well-equipped with washing machines, AC, etc. There’s also a common hall with a TV, which opens in the evening, where students can relax and enjoy. Hostel allotment is based on marks and category. As for PGs, they are not too far from the college, but many students face issues with food quality. However, apart from that, PGs are comfortable and slightly less expensive than hostels.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!

du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
