I chose IGNOU because of recent changes made to the curriculum in the year 2024. I was waiting for the new curriculum to make it possible to complete bachelor's in 4 years so that it can be applicable for foreign exchange programs and further masters outside India without the need for having to complete a bridge course. It's heavily convenient, the resources are available online, you merely have to finish assignments before the submission date, attend practical classes on Sundays and appear for the Yearly Examinations.
The course curriculum has changed radically and has been updated to suit the new reforms under the Curriculum Changes brought forth by NEP 2024. All the faculty members are doctorate holders or are pursuing their doctoral studies. The term exams are fairly easy if one has studied for the past 2-3 months prior to examination.
Every two semesters have combined fees that are deposited in one time payment mode. The fees is same for all candidates and regardless of one's social background. You can avail scholarship using scholarship portals and other national or state level beneficiary schemes. The only difference is whether you avail offline printed material or prefer online soft copies. The fees difference for both is merely ~500 Rs.
The life at campus is fairly relaxed as it's a distance learning course. There are no fests as such, but we arrange informal reading sessions, and compliment them with extra curricular activities. Library access is available to all students and one simply has to show their identity card in order to avail books from their local study center.
IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.
The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.
The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
