Likes
- The infrastructure though not massive is quite peaceful so that is a good thing.
- The faculty is really supportive and guides us through academic issues.
Dislikes
- The college has less inter college interactions making it difficult for students to interact with other college students
- The classrooms are quite small so accommodating many students is also an issue.
Remarks :
For admission in this or any other DU colleges you have to sit for CUET examination which is objective and based on your score you are alloted the college and course. There are no personal interviews or group discussions. The college is in main north campus providing sufficient exposure for students that is why this college was in my preference list.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course history with political science is one of the major courses for students from arts background. The faculty is impressive as their teaching methods are not restricted to textbook knowledge but their real life application as well. The exams are held every semester.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For my course the annual fee is 31750rs for general category and there are certain fee remission for other categories like SC/ST/EWS. There are scholarship opportunities available as well on category and merit basis so student from every background can study. The fee is similar to previous years with no significant changes.
Campus Life :
The college is based in the main north campus so the campus life is cool. There are many functions held on a daily basis in my college. Their is an auditorium for most programs. Many societies like dance, drama or music are their in which students can participate and enhance their skills along with learning leadership qualities.

IGNOU offers limited direct campus placement opportunities, but the degree is widely recognized and helps improve employability. Students mainly secure jobs through off-campus applications, competitive exams, or by upgrading their skills. The flexible learning system allows learners to work, prepare for higher studies, or pursue professional certifications alongside their course. IGNOU also conducts periodic placement drives through its Campus Placement Cell.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
