Maitreyi college was my 9th preference and I had already heard a lot of good things about it's infrastructure and faculty, that's why it was under top 10 colleges in my preference list. So after clearing CUET Examination I got the seat in this college in the first round of allotment.
I have a commerce background and having a keen interest in finance made me select Bcom degree and this course has a lot of value in Delhi University as well. All the teachers here have done their PHd degrees from Delhi University only which makes them understand the needs of the University. Talking about the 1st semister examination the syllabus was pretty similar to which we had already studied in 12th and 11th standards so it became easy to grasp for us, so I would say the level was decent and the examination went smoothly with appropriate preparatory leaves.
No I haven't opted for internship but I had researched about the opportunities. Many companies like Insplore, internshala, northwest etc participated in the Envision with highest stipend of 50,000 and Average stipend was 10,000.

Around 253 companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, tech for India , Insplore participated in the recruitment process with highest stipend of 50,000 rupees for internship and 23.5 lac for job.
I got admission in this college after clearing CUET Examination, on the basis of cutoff which is different for each course and each category. Beside this there is sports quota and certain minority privileges. The fees of my classmates is same whatsoever there categories are.
The infrastructure of Maitreyi college is well established with NAAC Accredited A++, college is filled with greenery. Classes are of different sizes with projector in every class and proper ventilation. There is 2 floored library containing books of every field. For extra curricular activities there are many cultural and non cultural societies and Rotaract club as well which runs under the students of Maitreyi college only which makes students to gain real life experiences in their respective fields. Rhapsody is the annual cultural fest of Maitreyi college which helds in the month of February every year.
I'm currently staying in a PG which is in Satya niketan, there are a lot of good PGs in this area and is the nearest residential area to the college and the nearest Metro station is Durgabai deshmukh South Campus.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
