Found the college through campaigning done in my city. I had to give a scholarship test called DSAT, which I’m not sure if it’s still there. I got some scholarship through that. The results were not declared, but they did notify you if you were qualified for the scholarship. The exam was fairly easy.
The course is pretty good. Being a first year, we’ve been taught whatever the other branches of B.Tech have been taught, which is necessary to have an understanding of every field. The faculty is good for some subjects. IT VARIES FROM SECTION TO SECTION. So you might get lucky with a very good professor, or you might get stuck with some bottom of the barrel teacher, who doesn’t have much of a teaching experience. There is somewhat of a linguistic barrier. Being from a northern state, I find it difficult to understand some teachers. Some may have a very different accent which may catch you off guard but you will get used to it. The exams were held timely. Except the term exams which got delayed a little due to the late intake of KCET students. Otherwise, its always up to schedule.
No, I haven’t opted for any internship nor do I plan to for the first few years. There are good companies who will seek out interns, but that will be much later into the course. Also, Don’t fall for the internship scams in first year. You don’t need it in first year. Don't be over enthusiastic to get internship the moment you land into the university.
I don’t have any idea about placements being a fresher only, but from what I’ve heard, you have to “do good to get good”. I’m sure they’ll get big big recruiters in the near future for the marketing and advertisement of the university, once the whole campus is fully done.
The fees is around 3.5 lakh/yr for students with scholarship through DSAT; and 4.2 lakh/yr without scholarship or through direct admission. There are people who joined through KCET and I think they have a much lower fees.
The facilities are top tier inside the campus. There are more buildings still being constructed which will be finished by 2026. There’s a lot of stuff to invest your time in. There are multiple clubs and there will be even more forming in the near future. The sports ground is insanely good. The football turf is top tier. Life is fun. If you’re a fun person and interesting enough to be around, you will have a good circle of people. Don’t be weird and you’re good.
Hostel is really good. A 4-star hotel lobby. Everything is secure. The hostel has a ton of security. Two 11 floor towers for boys and 1 tower for girls. The rooms are nice. 4 sharing is a bit cramped up, but you won’t really need the space anyway. There are good hangout spots. Discussion rooms in the hostel have AC. There’s a whole tour of the hostel on YouTube. “S’ residences hostel, Dayananda Sagar”
There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students
The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

All the faculties are extremely well qualified from top institutions of the world and they are all extremely approachable and nice. The term exams we had were split like CP1, CP2, and CP3 of 20+25+25 marks each. They were some easy ones, and some application based, which develops the engineering thinking mindset
