The main factor that made me choose this college was that i wanted to study B.Tech CSE and it was really hard for me to get this branch in other colleges considering my JEE score and i didn't want to take a drop. Also Bhubaneswar is A place where i have relatives and they suggested it's an it's overall good college. Xavier Engineering Selection Test (XEST) is the exam that is conducted through which they select the students. It includes the syllabus of 12th grade. After the test there is a PI round taken by the faculties to know more about you.
I have always wanted to study CSE because of me interest in computers. The faculties are decent some of them are not so good at teaching but if you put a bit effort you understand the topics. Most of them are from IIT or NIT or IISC either they have completed their graduation f4lm they're or they have the completed their phd from there. Teaching method is a personal preference some of the students in my class understand everything the faculties teach while some understand something and some nothing. personally some faculties are really good at teaching while some dont really pay much attention. The exams are always conducted of time and the difficulty level is mostly decent not too tough and not too easy
I'm still in my second year so I've not done any internships as of now, but as far as I've talked to my seniors the college does provide us with internship opportunities but it's better to get it on our own and we can be flexible with it and meet the requirements according to our skills and knowledge
as this branch is comparatively new in this colleg, it provides decent placement opportunities, companies like TCS, Mindtree, capgemini come for campus placements the avg package is about 4-5lpa. The highest is 1.5cr which was an off campus placement CERN. Personally I want to persue masters after my graduation so im not that worried about the placements
Normally the tuition fees for our bactch is 1,11,500 per semester which is inclusive of all the miscellaneous fees including books. Students can also avail scholarship in the first year if they have marks above 90% in their 12th boards and in the upcoming years if they can avail scholarship according to their cgpa and there are also less marks Requirements to avail scholarships for sc/st students
Life at campus is pretty decent. The people here are good. As this is not mainly an engineering college you get to interact more with the people from various other streams like commerce, Mass communication, Law etc which is a very different experience. But not being around engineering students also reduces the environment of competition which cannot be good sometimes. Our library has a good collection of books. Sports is really celebrated in my campus be it badminton, basketball, football, tennis. Fests are good in XIM. some are conducted in around August ,October November like Xplosions, Garba night, Diwali. and in around January we have our Flagship event Xamboree February we have Xuhotsav and finally we have Xuphoria in march. We also have multiple sports events in XEST which is the university sports fest
The Food quality is Decent and the menu mostly includes and rice, roti, puri and sabzi like paneer, gobhi etc and in non veg we get chicken, fish and eggs. hostel fees is 22,500 per semester and the mess fees is 11,700 per 3 months. as the college is in the outskirts of the city it is bette rto take the hostel than a pg. the rooms are good. it's 2 people in one room.
After completion of this course go for national health mission recruitment In odisha opsc amo exam conducted many students were passed the exam from our college and got posted. You can go for many pharmacy company 100 percent of students getting placement
There campus placement here are ok startups came here and many big mncs like tcs, flipkart etc. Some department get companies like the MBA but that is an exceptional case. No other department participate in campus drive or placement cell. Students need to apply off campus to get placed.
for placement students need to get atleast 7cgpa. The placement is decent where most students around 85% get placed . Main companies are accenture, tcs, infosys , cognizant etc. Highest package was 9lpa and average was around 4lpa . I plan to work in one of the companies i get placed in.
Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.
It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.
Actually as I am a undergraduate I don't exactly know how much is the eligibility criteria for placement but I know that the guest lecturers are given according to number of classes they do in a month My plans after getting a degree is to give jrf net /gate and to further study in reasearch lines.
Eligibility criteria for placements are based on cgpa cut off and no backlogs are allowed. A few companies that came for recruitment are Infosys, Tcs , Accenture , Cognizant , Dell , Deloitte . Profiles offered are mostly of software engineer and average package is around 600000 per annum . My plan after getting degree is to go into software engineering job .
The placement scenario is quite good as most of the students get placed before the completion of course with a decent package. Average package is around 8lpa and the highest package till now is 60+ lpa.
Course Curriculum is well structured ,in first year, evry branch subjects are mostly common and from second year onwards they taught branch specific subjects. Faculties are highly educated and they are also clear their engineering from best colleges
Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
