Remarks :
Delhi university is considered no.1 for undergraduation and Hansraj College was my first priority beacuse it has a great alumni network and well known vollege for science. In my time, there was admission based on merit but now it is via national level entrance test.
Course Curriculum Overview :
Zoology Honours from Hansraj College, Delhi University is the best decision beacuse of the faculty and friends. They made the study part so fun and easy. The faculty is great and knowledgeable. Regular classes and seminars happen every now and then. Exams are easygoing and moderate level.
Internships Opportunities :
I had the opportunity to do project under the faculty of my course itself. It was a pleasant period , got to learn so much from such esteemed educators. Even i got the chance to publish a paper in scientific journal
Placement Experience :
Placement committee is proactive for courses like commerce but not too much for science. Still hige number of students go for higher studies in top-rated colleges across the world. Recruiters are less for science field
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The fees was paid yearly and it is not drilling in pocket. Also there are scholarships for students who cannot afford to pay. The college do exempt fees of some students if they have a valid reason. Fees is same for all the categories.
Campus Life :
Social life iis the best part. There is so much diversity and every now and then something or other event is happening at every corner. Large number of Societies in the college where you can meet with the people of your likes. Infrastructure is great. Library and wifi all around.

The internship opportunities are mainly available for the commerce departments and many companies also come to offer internships here. For humanities departments to internships comes mainly from the government ministries such as ministry of culture and home ministry.

The placement cell is active. Companies like Agile Capital Services, Chegg, and Wipro visit. Eligibility requires 60%+ marks. Highest CTC offered is around 8 LPA and Average package is 4.5 LPA. Around 40-50% students get placed, while science graduates prefer higher studies (M.Sc / B.Ed). My plan is pursuing higher education and managing my student e-portfolio platform.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college
Placement Experience :
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
