Remarks :

I chose this college as it was in my neigbouring state and one of my older cousins was already studying there. Another reason was that I didn't score well in JEE Mains and thought, why not study here as it's not half bad. It also had a decent average placement, similar to other private colleges in Bhubaneswar and my state. I definitely would not have chosen this college if it had any higher fees as it does now. You can get admission either through your JEE score or their college entrance exam. There are no GDs or PIs for admission in BTech courses. The entrance exam syllabus is similar to 12th Science PCM and JEE.

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is okay. It mostly follows the AICTE-recommended curriculum for BTech. The faculty are well qualified and experienced in their fields (not all of them, but most are good). Almost all have a Doctorate or two in their subjects and enough industry experience. The teaching method varies from faculty to faculty and depends on the subject. Some older faculties tend to follow conventional methods, while most have adapted to using technologies for teaching. Mid-semester and End-semester exams are all timely, varying a few days from the schedule depending on whether the subject course has been completed and practicals all done. Mid-sems are relatively easier as they take up only half the syllabus, while End-sems may require some serious preparation and also carry more weightage.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

My tuition fees (for CSE) were ?175000 per year, but they have since increased to ?290000 per year for new students. Fees for other specialisations and branches have also increased similarly as follows: The fee for CSE AI & ML has increased to ?150000 per semester, and all other CSE specialisations, Robotics & AI, and AI & DS, have had their fees increased to ?145000 per semester. There are government scholarships available, applicable through DSW. A detailed fee structure is also on the college website you can check out.

Campus Life :

There is a FRESHERS fest around Diwali time named ROSHNI NIGHT. The annual college fest, CELEGANCE, is celebrated in February each year. But sometimes, fest activities to take place depend on the dean and VC. Books in the library are mostly all recommended textbooks from the BTech curriculum. Reference books on different subjects and PYQs for exams are also available. There is a cricket ground solely meant for official tournaments and inter/intra-college matches. There are also a football ground(quite small tho), a volleyball court and a basketball court. There are no indoor games. Annual Sports meet is in November each year. College clubs and societies : Google Developers Club, Noor Band and Singing Club, Anubhuti Dramatics Club, Dhvani for Open mic and Creative Writing, Dexters Dancing Club, Photography and Cinematography Club, and Space Club.

Hostel Facilities :

Hostel rooms are ok, honestly, but the Hostel Mess is literally a mess! The food is shit. You'll probably not die of hunger, but you won't eat the food willingly, only to survive and maybe cuz you have paid for it already. Sometimes, once or twice a month, there's relatively better cooking, but that's it. We have submitted numerous complaints and applications to the chief warden and mess supervisor requesting to change the menu and food quality, but to no use. It was shit at time of our seniors, their seniors, and its gonna remain shit for eternity. They will make good food for 1 or 2 weeks when new students join and then go back to shitty food. LOL. Hostel registration can be done at the time of admission. Hostel fees have increased, and they do every year, so do check that. There are many good PGs and Rooms available near the college, but it is better to approach with a current resident or senior's referral, or they might overcharge you.

Review ITER

Placement Experience :

Students are eligible for placements from third year onwards on a condition that the student has good skills and created good projects. Companies are still coming to ITER since July, various companies like Wipro, Xerox, Paytm, Flipkart, DELL, Microsoft, TCS Infosys and various other MNCs and startups come to the campus for placements and also provide pre placement offers. Currently I have no idea about the highest and average packages as per the company and the profiles offered, but I know that the highest package offered in Iter has been 43 lakhs pa and the average package is around 6lacs-8lacs. There are certain criteria set by the college for the students to be eligible to sit in the placement, out of that more than 85% to 90% of eligible students have secured placements. Students also get internships from second year. After I get a degree and if I land a suitable job then it's okay otherwise I will look to get into civil services or defence.

Silicon university review

Placement Experience :

It has average placements. They also provide training for that. You will be eligible from 4th year. They also provide practice schools where the eligibility is 8 cgpa. They also provide training in the 3rd and 4th year. The companies which I know are Infosys Accenture Capgemini Genpact Mindfire solutions Mindtree. Tcs. pwC Deloitte Inovaare Tata Power Cosmovolt Tech Mahindra etc. They mostly provide the packages in the range 3.5-6 lpa ..The average oncampus placement this year was 4.5 lpa and the highest was 14.5 lpa. The 30 lpa shown was off campus. So you can get jobs according to your skills and cgpa . Overally the placement is just average but roi may be better.

The Ready College

Placement Experience :

Yes, we do have a placement cell over here and is quite good. Many well-known companies come to recruit their employees, and the companies are quite satisfied over our senior's hard work and smartness. Many companies like Google, Amazon, Flipkart, Delloyd, etc., come to give good placements to the students at the college. I don't know the exact numbers, but the highest package was around 45 lakhs, and the average package was around 5 lakhs per annum. The average percentage of students getting placements is roughly around 70% to 80%. Currently for me, I don't have a solid plan to what to do but you never know some miracle might happen. Just joking, I do have a plan for the near future, but I am little worried about the future that on one before me start that initiative that I have thought about it.
