My overall college experience
Likes
- Like the faculty are well educated from well known universities . The tutors also help the students in problem solving. And next thing is like there are many seniors in different fields so we can also take help from them. Campus life is adorable like many diversities in one institution , and when we meet new persons we definately learn something new.
Dislikes
- I don' t think so , that i disliked something . Like there may be some challenges but We should have enough courage to face all .
Remarks :
Yes , i faced jee main and jee advanced which were conducted by NTA and IIT's respectively based upon ranking we choose our college and different branch of engineering. Like there are various factors but its alumnai network and its reputation among all the countries makes it different.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose this course , because i am having my interest in geography and technology related things . Faculty are highly qualified completed thier study from foreign well known institutes and also completed some research papers. Teaching methods are generally depends upon the professors ,like many profs use chalk and board but many of them use slide and may use both . Exams are conducted within two weeks periodicity like firstly when the sem begins the we face quiz after about 3 weeks then after about 2 weeks we have our midsem then again quiz and then endsem...
Placement Experience :
There is not any such criterion but for safe side one should have cgpa about 7.5-8. it is the criterion which makes differences and then for various jobs they shortlist candidates on the basis of test for interviews and according to that place them .
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
For general candidate the fees is around ?250000 per year but it decreases year wise around 5k to 10k. But there are various scholarship which based upon marks in board exam and jee advanced rank... And scholarship also provided on the basis of category like sc/st candidate's tution fees(?1,00,000) is free per semester . And for general candidate if the income is less than ?1,00,000 then tution fees is also free for them and two-third of tution fees wavied off for the candidate whose family income is less than 6,00,000 rs.
Campus Life :
Campus life is also one thing which makes IIT Kanpur different from other like we have fest inter college and intra college . Like for sports fest we have udghosh which is conducted around the month september . Like for cultural fest we have antragini which is conducted around the month october . And for tech fest we have techkriti which is conducted around march - april. There are various tech clubs and cultural related clubs and sports facility is next level like you get ground for all your desired and lovable sports . For all such groups and clubs there are various instagram channels where we can directly connect to them .
Hostel Facilities :
Hostel rooms were distributed randomly with double sharing and triple sharing and having the fun with various diversities . Mess food is really admirable like we have bdmr around 80 to 90 rupees and they give us various varieties in the food ( like south indian dishes , some western dishes )and we can take some extras and juices also seprate in the mess . And we also have canteens in each hostels .

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
