- The campus is huge, green and beautiful. Everything that a student will need in college life is available in the campus.
- The infrastructure is great. All the faculties are very well qualified and teaching is good.
Dislikes
- The hostel rooms are very small and old. Indoor sports facility is also not that maintained.
- There is too much competition in IITK Kanpur which results in poor mental health of some students.
- The college is located in a small town so connectivity to airports and big cities is poor.
Remarks :
The main reason why I chose this college is because of the excellent quality of education it provides. The campus is great. To gain admission to IIT Kanpur. First of all, one must clear JEE mains and Advanced with a good rank. Secondly, the candidate must also pass the 12th board examination with at least 75% (65% for SC/ST) or be in the top 20 percentile of the board. There are no group discussions or admission interviews.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course because I really liked the subjects taught in the course. All the faculty members are well-qualified from top universities all across the globe. Every semester typically 2 quizzes, 1 mid-semester examination, and 1 end-term examination are held. The tuition fee is around 105000 but there are many scholarships for bright students or students from economically weak backgrounds. A student can also apply for a student loan and easily pay the fees in installments. This makes good education affordable for every student.
Internships Opportunities :
Students can opt for an internship in 2nd or 3rd year of college. The stipend offered ranges from 10k to 2.5lacs per month depending on the job profile and workload. Some students even receive pre-placement offers (PPOs) after completion of the internship.
Placement Experience :
Students are eligible for placement after their 7th semester. Every company has its own CGPA cutoff. It is advised to maintain at least a 7 CGPA for a decent placement and 8.5 for a good placement. Every year huge number of offers are made by top recruiters from all around the world. The highest package offered was 4cr per annum and the average package was 22lacs per annum. My plans after getting the degree is to sit for placements and secure a good-paying job. If no campus placement is offered, a student can apply for companies off-campus or continue further studies.
Campus Life :
The life on the campus is great. There are almost no restrictions on students. There are 3 fests held annually in IITK, ANTARAGNI- the cultural fest in October. UDGHOSH- the sports fest also in October, TECHKRITI- the technical fest in March. Every year many students from all across the country come to attend and participate in these fests. The library is well maintained and has almost every book a student will need. The classrooms are well-equipped with world-class facilities. The sports facility is great as well. There are many extracurricular events held. The hostel is well maintained but the room size is small. Every hostel has its mess that serves tasty food. The cost of living is also affordable.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
