Remarks :
IITs are a very prestigious institute for Engineering in India, especially old IITs. IIT Kanpur is one of the best IITs with an NIRF ranking of 4, so I chose it. For admission you need to qualify for Jee Main with a good percentile and then qualify for Jee Advance if your all-India rank is around 4000 then you can get IIT Kanpur B. Tech Chemical Engineering. Both Jee Main and Advance are computer-based MCQ and Numerical answer type questions, no descriptive questions, and also after these exams no interview or GD, just get a good rank in Jee Advance. For preparation, I used to give mock tests and solve previous year's questions.
Course Curriculum Overview :
In chemical engineering, there is a good opportunity in the core also in your free time you can prepare for software or consultancy roles. IIT Kanpur's curriculum is updated, every 10 years a committee reviews and makes necessary changes to make the curriculum relevant. The facilities are very qualified (all are PhD from good universities) and you can ask doubts in class or also go to the professor's office to clear doubts. Here scholarships like MCM, and SBF are available. Also if you are from the SC/ST/PwD category then no tuition fees are required. For general and OBC students whose family income is less than 5 lakh per annum get 66% off tuition fees.
Internships Opportunities :
Many companies come for internships but not as good as placement. Companies come for different roles like placement but if you are not from a circuital branch you will struggle to get an internship. Approximately 50-60% of students only get internships.
Placement Experience :
All sorts of companies from big companies like Google, and Quadeye to startups come for placements in different roles like Quant, SDE, Core, Consultancy, and product management. We have good domestic and foreign placement records. All students can sit in placement but sometimes companies put eligibility criteria like CPI or Branch but no restrictions from college. Approximately all students get placed in undergraduate. After my degree, I'm planning to get a job in AI/ML company.
Campus Life :
IITK allows hostel rooms to everyone, food quality is decent in hostels. Here all clubs are available according to your hobby, singing dancing fine arts cricket football hockey swimming, and also programming robotics all type of clubs are here. A total of 3 main fests are here Antaragni & Udghosh in September or October and Techkriti in March. We have a good library with all sorts of books and a reading arena available. For parents of students we have guest houses in hostels at very cheap prices also a visitor hostel is there.

They were no campus place name because I opted for humanity degree and humanities degree comes with no direct placement after UG and it acquires greater and highest studies so right now I am doing my post graduation and the emploibility is very low

Course Curriculum Overview :
The course curriculum is well structured and covers both theoretical and practical knowledge which helps to build a strong foundation for a subject like biomedical. I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.

Placement Experience :
Campus placements start from the 7th semester for students, once the University criteria is fulfilled. As B. Tech Biotechnology is a newly introduced course, there is no Branch wise Placement data available for B.Tech Biotechnology as of now but the university does attract companies like Nestlé, Yakult, Dabur, Cognizant, Accenture, Infosys, HCLTech, and so on. The university stated the overall highest package was 60 LPA and the average placement was around 5.4 LPA. My ambition is to pursue a career in Biotechnology in R&D or QA/QC or Biopharmaceutical industry after graduation and enhance my technical knowledge.
