Likes
- The campus is lush green and academic area has very good asthetics.
- The faculties are generally cooperative and eger to help.
Dislikes
- The hostel accomodation sucks. There is always a space crunch.
- There is a rat race among students and a lot of corruption in student budget.
Remarks :
First you have to write JEE mains exam in which you have to be in top 2.5lac(including reserved seats) then you have to clear JEE advanced exam. And on the basis of jee advanced rank you will be alloted seat.
Course Curriculum Overview :
The course circullum is pretty flexible. Like about 35-50% of course you have choice to select b/w. And you can also do courses from other departments. Also you can do double major in which you have two degrees at the time you graduate.
Internships Opportunities :
Being a first year student I have not been part of any internship, it is generally facilitated in 3rd year. But opportunities especially in core sector is pretty limited with maximum of students getting in non core profile like finance, analytics, consulting.
Placement Experience :
The placement cell facilitates the campus placement opportunities. Although it is an old IIT but in recent years the placement opportunities shrunk in campares to other but still it boasts a great placement record. In circuital branches(cse, mnc, sds, ee) percentage is >90% with median package around 30lpa. In non circuital branches it is around 20lpa with placement percentage around 80%>
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Tution fee: 10000 Mess establishment: 13200 Others : 5000 Note for SC/ST/ family income less than 1 lac, tution fees is waived off. For family income b/w 1 to4.5 lac tution fee is 33000. This is for a single semester. Also you have to pay around 3k-4k mess bill per month
Campus Life :
Campus life is the life on should wish for. The lush green campus with modern state of art infrastructure make you fall in love with it. You have a good social life with various fest origanised by students only. There are many hobby club like( dance club, music club, astronomy club etc) and about 2.5 lac volumes in library.
Hostel Facilities :
You have to essentially reside in hostel only alloted to you. For first year you are allotted hall 13 a new hostel inaugurated recently. Quality of mess is good, also it is students who decide the menu for mess and workers are quite supportive.

our course is not for placement , you will get job in many library as per your degree , if you want grad a jobs you have complete PHD in library science . there is no campuss placement in this college for this course . most of student do mlis and UGN net after blis and some of them prepare for government like JNV and asst librarioan posts

I always had interest in human health and diseases which is why I chose this course. Faculties are always willing to clear doubts as they are well qualified in there particular domain. And overall I feel the course provides a good academic environment for students. there is a academic calendar provided which gets updated time to time and exam are conducted according to this calendar only.
