Likes
- There's greenery in the college. Students can meditate in the Rishi Vaatika area.
- Canteen specially Nescafe branch is really good. You can have delicious variety of maggie there.
Dislikes
- Hostellers are supposed to stay outside the hostel from 10am-12pm which is really annoying as those students who have classes in the second time get really frustrated
- Outing time for hostellers is 2pm to 6pm on regular days and 9pm to 6pm on holidays which is really frustrating. Nobody wants to go out in summers during that time.
Remarks :
No test required to get admission in this college. The factor that it is an All girls college made me choose this college. Eve teasing is the one thing that is really concerning. But certain meetings are conducted to overcome this problem.
Course Curriculum Overview :
My interest in the subjects like history, political science etc made me choose this course. Talking about the faculty's qualification, most of them are PHd and they focus on overall development of the child instead of just focusing on their particular subjects. Terms exam- semester wise exam is held wherein odd semester exams are held in months November and December and even semester exams are held in June and July.
Internships Opportunities :
Never opted for any internship. I know some of the MFT students who have done internship. It is provided by the college during the semester breaks mostly. students belonging to any stream can go for it. These opportunities are sent in WhatsApp groups of your respective classes. I didn't opt for any internship as it was not related to any of my subjects and some of them are offered during the exam week.
Placement Experience :
Not much placement opportunities are provided by the college. Even the provided ones are not from the college itself. Students can still find some good job options and can send it to their respective college groups.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
25000 Admission fee (approx) Hostel fees- (for non AC rooms rs 1,30,000) (For AC rooms rs 1,50,000) *Approximate amount Hostel fees is paid in two installments for those who had opted for hostels previously also.
Campus Life :
There are both cons and pros of this college. Cons- Infrastructure is really small. Pros- It is beautiful with greenery all around it. Now talking about the social life, annual fest i.e. Meraki is held in the month of February, a two day fest it is. There is one library in college, books of every genre are available. Classrooms with good ventilation are there. There is also a gaming in the college, an auditorium where monthly dj, fresher's and farewell parties are held. There is a drama club called as Parvaz , dance club called as Aveg and dept. Clubs are also there like psychminions(psychology dept.) etc. Dance club is run by students themselves whereas other clubs are run by college.
Hostel Facilities :
There are six block -(A,B) (C,D) (E,F) . E and F blocks are full AC blocks. Mess food is not good. Same days have same food. We can buy junk food from mess. But it is open till 9 p.m. . Monthly special dinner is provided which is also not that good. We can't order online food after 6 p.m.. Festivals like diwali, holi etc are celebrated,senior hostellers get a separate farewell from juniors. With regard to the facilities provided , fee is high.

College offers on campus placements opportunities in the 4th year of the course . Many reputed companies like Apple , Amazon , PhonePe , Maruti Suzuki etc visits campus for rhe placements. Highest and average package is around 60 lakhs and 17 lakhs respectively . 90 % students got placed this year

I don't have much idea about eligibility criteria because I have been in the clg 3 months. Company like Jp Morgan godrej britannia etc are the tip recruiters in our branch. This semester My H and Q company have given intern to many students. I am planning for government jobs. 40% of students are places in my branch.

Placemnts are better than other nits like hamirpur nit Jalandhar and nit kurukshetra also better than some private college like thapar its avg is like 13 lakh and median is 12 lakh for electrcal its same median avg is 14.5 and cse avg goes 20+ and ai avg 19 lakhs

placements are good and you can get the official data on college websity of my branch 94 placed out of 127 and avg package is 13.1 and median is 12 lpa but cse avg this year goes 20 + lpa but lower branch like civil has some low placemnt stats as many students go for foriegn ms or higher studies or gate psu from civil

The placement rate of chitkara is great from the starting of third year you can apply for placements . Various companies like Wipro,hero, Tata motors, Reliance, Lenovo visits for placements. The average package is around 8 lpa and heights is 45 lpa, from the college there are 100% placement rate.

There is minimum 4 months of internship we have to do in 6th semester and on campus opportunities is very good. Companies like Microsoft, Google, Atlassian, BMW, jp Morgan, AMEX came with highest package of 86 LPA

Course Curriculum Overview :
I was never interested in this course but due to family stress I was forced to do this and later on it was much intrested than any other subject. The beginning and end of universe is all what engineering teaches us and if somebody will find it not interesting then he should cut himself from this world.

The placement is quite very low for my department and my course. University is practicing for encouraging more companies for our course placement. It is improving but now the placement is low for my course . Like from last year only 5 were placed out of 60.
