- Faculty : Well, experienced faculty with abundant knowledge filled within them . They give individual attention to students and help them with both academic and non academic things and do time to time mentoring to check up on the student’s academic improvement and extracurricular participation.
- Infrastructure: great infrastructure with every classroom accommodated with smart TVs for digital learning of the students. Every corner of the university is well maintained and is under cctv surveillance for better safety of everyone.
Dislikes
- College in general : the restrooms could’ve been better and had a better lighting and cleanliness .
- Canteen and mess : they could’ve had more food options in EC campus and well maintained . More attention should be given to cleanliness in the canteen
Remarks :
I chose PES University because it is an amazing university and one of the Top universities in Karnataka with great faculty, infrastructure and placement opportunities. Good aspects : great education opportunities with an updated syllabus for BTech . Bad aspects :competitive environment for students which can be challenging . But the university helps us with this too . Admission process : in 2024 pes took in students from pessat , kcet , comedk and jee Mains exam . I chose my kcet seat as I had secured a good rank of 7k and the cut off for Electronics for general category in pes was 8k in the second round . There wasn’t any external interview for my admission . Admission was done directly through kcet portal .
Course Curriculum Overview :
Pursuing Electronics and communication engineering at PES university is an amazing choice with experienced and well trained faculty to bring out the best knowledge they could give to students about this course . I chose electronics because I am interested in this course and curious to pursue my career in electronics. The faculty is very supportive and gives every individual student separate preference so that no one is left out . The exams were conducted once every two months and followed by the end semester exam after the two internals . The difficulty level was moderate . But it is impossible to fail .
Internships Opportunities :
I haven’t opted for any internship yet . But as per the info and stats , my seniors got internships from the college . They all worked for few months and gained experience and many of those got converted to jobs as well . The very few students who couldn’t get internships went into an intensive informational internship provided from the university and later were able to secure successful internships
Placement Experience :
The minimum criteria for sitting for placements in 6.75 gpa and a first class above rank in 12th and 10th grades . Placement opportunities are outstanding with around 200+ well known tier 1 , 2 , 3 companies visiting the campus . With the latest info of 2024 , highest package placed was 60LPA + . And around 80% students are getting placed . My plans after degree is pursuing higher studies ..
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
It is 120748 per year , excluding the transportation fee ( which is optional) but I paid 38000 for transportation. I am from general quota and the above mentioned fee is for Kcet students and includes tuition fees , lab fees , admission fee,development fee and other compulsory fees.
Campus Life :
My campus life at pes was filled with fun and memories. The university does one inter college fest per sem called “maaya” and “aatmatrisha” at their Electronic City and ring road campuses. These fests help to bring out the best creativity and talents hidden in students . They also conduct inter college and inter campus sports fest , filled with all the sports activities we can name . Another outstanding club of the PES University is MUNSOC . They hold up international and national muns and participate in various muns in the country. Hostel Facilities :
I am a day scholar and I use the college bus which is 38,000 inr from the place I live , annually . My friends who are in hostel told that hostel is amazing, with great rooms and infrastructure. The food was also amazing with 3 full meals in a day along with time to time snacks . The hostel were maintained very well with wardens and cleaning staff . The interiors of hostel rooms are also amazing with study desks and other comfortable accommodations

For our degree program we have well placement opportunities other than bsc agriculture and btech biotechnology. For our college only company will come like itc,shula wine, Nestle etc and they offer good package minimum around 4lakh and some have aptitude test and interview some direct interview

There are top rated faculties which are present in the college who have pursued MBBS and MD degrees from top colleges and have for an exam to become a professor in this college and the teaching skills are pretty great as they make a topic pretty easy to understand for students

The placement and job opportunities are good in our college. Our college provides us only with UG Courses so most of the students pursue higher education after that. The placements are good in our college. If I talk about internships so they are very good. Our college provides both paid and unpaid internships to students.

The placement of the college is excellent in the cse stream it has an average package of 9 lakh per annum and highest package of 38 lakh per annum it is a good salary or package for an engineer so it is good placement
BSc Physics at Jain University
Course Curriculum Overview :
Faculties are well qualified and some of them are doing active research. However the college does not have a very active research environment but they do not hinder a student from taking up projects outside. They provide all support like recommendations, attendance permissions etc.

All the faculties are well qualified and quite renowned in their research fields. However some of them have this quality of holding personal grudge and targeting. Some assume you know a lot and don't teach properly and expect more from the student. There is a lot of pressure even with internals, assignments and other things.

For placement, The student shouldnt have any backlogs. There are companies that are stated as "Great Places to Work" as well as some startups that come for college recruitment. The highest package last year (2023) was 6000000, and the average package of the university is approximately 850000. A good percentage of people who opt for placements do get placed decntly. My plans after my BBA are writing GMAT and going for my MBA abroad in a good college.
