Dislikes
- My college canteen is a bit shabby and most of the items are unavailable making making a difficult for the students to have their lunch
- The college overload the student with a very busy time table and after which the student is left with no time for them. The college needs to re schedule the classes in a way that it could be more feasible for us
Remarks :
My college has some of the best faculties of Delhi which are very sincere for their students and give their best guidance share their experiences which could help the student in every possible way. Also my college provide extra safety for women. My college is very serious about their time table and all the classes are conducted on time everyday. For getting admission into this college a minimum 75% aggregate is required in 12th boards and after then CUET-UG exam is needed to be cleared. After this the student is allowed to enter the counselling round where they are allocated different colleges as per their preferences. The cutoff for CUET-UG for a general candidate for science course was 320 out of 600 and my score was 354 out of 600 . The simple technique for cracking these examinations s a lot of practice, continue mock test and practicing as many questions as you can. Solving pyq and sample papers would help like magic.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I choose course is a combination of zoology botany and chemistry which means a lot of options for me in future.The course includes laboratory works which help us to build our skills and theory classes which further explain everything in detail. Also the course organisation various educational visit botanical gardens zoological parks and also organisation seminars in which great personalities share their experience . They provide us with the best information and also the assignments they give us help us in attaining something more we could learn other than from this course.Overall the help us build great minds which could think of something different from others.the examinations are held every semester both practical and theory exams are held. The difficulty level is moderate to difficult. Again I could say continuous practice can make anything easy so if a student is aware of what is being taught in every class then she could ace every theory and practical paper like magic.
Internships Opportunities :
I have done younity internship once . The college organises Summer internship under experience professors in the month of May to june and also provide internships of different companies and let the Student know about it and work on it.
Placement Experience :
My college provide placements more for bcom students after they have completed the 5th semester in different companies like deloit. The average package of the colleges around 7 to 8 lacs per year . The highest package can even go to 20 lacs per annum. However the percentage of students getting placed is low. For science students it is that they that placed instead they opt for higher studies like masters and PHD. Also the college has different internship opportunities which are provided by the placement cell and the e cell like younity and MSMe internships. For me I would like to go for the studies and I am preparing for exams like IIT JAM CUET PG and different entrance exams for pursuing my masters in a good college after which I would look for placements or else I would think about PHD.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
Maitreyi College Delhi University is a all women's college in South campus that provides best quality education at a very low cost. When I was admitted in this college I had to pay a fees of INR 15000 in the month of August. Then after the completion of my first year I can have to pay fees of amount 16110 in August which included college service charges of INR 2171 University Student welfare of INR 250 universal development fund of INR 1200 University service charges of INR 1250 economically weaker section support fund of INR 200 and tuition fee of INR 180 college student welfare fund of 3908 , college development fee of INR 6951. I had to pay this fees as a general category sciences student . For any particular course the fees is same for all category students. Also our college provides some scholarships and fee concessions for which the student had to submit an application and also organise competitions in which cash prices are given for helping the student in their education.
Campus Life :
Delhi University colleges do not have any large campuses but yeah they are very beautiful. My college has a very confined campus with two very beautiful gardens a very big ground where the annual fest Rhapsody is organised and it is considered one of the best festt of DU . Rhapsody is conducted in the month of either bFebruary or March where students can enjoy and refresh their minds. The college has a large library where all kinds of books are available like course books novels fiction and other books of famous Indian authors. Other than this research papers newspapers and some journals are also available for students. The college sports society that help students who are very wonderful at sports to outstand and showcase their talent and different colleges competitions and even at National levels. Also there are other societies like music society dance society and societies for social works like NSS and also NCC training is also given.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
