I conducted in depth research on my colleges NIRF ranking which is around 14th in delhi University for Arts courses and NAAC accreditation of A grade at the time of writing ( 2025 ). Shivaji college houses elaborate infrastructure for physical activities such as cricket ground, basketball court and football ground surrounded by luscious green trees and plants. There is a herbarium, recycle plant, and paper manufacturing plant operated by Environmental Sciences Department . The college has a canteen with good food and water coolers all around the campus. There exists 4 auditoriums in the college with proper maintainance. The infrastructure of the Arts department is a bit old which can use refurbishment. Admission was based on the CUET exam score and cutoffs issued by centralised DU admission process. The preparations were based on class 12th syllabus of CBSE which was the base of my course examination which included papers of Economics, History, Political Science , English.
The course curriculum covers Political Theory ,Public Administration, Indian Government and Politics, Indian Foreign Policy, Theory and Practice of Democracy, Ancient and Medieval Indian Political Thought, Comparitive Government . The Faculty for history and political science includes a very experienced and qualified pool of academicians with JRF in their PhD . Exams are almost always conducted regularly without delay .
I have completed internships at Asian Times and Inpac times as a Political Affairs Reporter and as a legislative aide and Policy Research Intern for Lok Sabha allowing me to get a plethora of experience in Policy as well as reporting .
The placement and internship cell offers a wide variety of placements from a variety of companies such as Nation for Namo and other political consultancies for Political Science students and many companies for commerce and economics students.
The fees per semester would be around 12000 for first 2 semesters then 16000 for 2nd year and 18000 for 3rd year . For my course there is an additional exam fee of around 7000 per semester .The fees is quite affordable for students.
There are a wide spectrum of societies from department wise societies and additional cultural societies such as Dictum - Debate society, Vayam - dramatics society, Footloose - Dance society, Vibgyor - Fine arts society and Bizzare - Fashion society .
There is no provision of hostel for the students at college. The students at college live around Shivaji Enclave, Vishal Enclave and places near to colleges which allow tiffin services for food also many apartments near college allowing easy commute. A few students love at student hubs around south or north campus and also at Ramesh nagar, Tilak nagar and Naraina vihar.

PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
