the Jee Main Failure Revelation And missing other Renowned Engineering exams like Wbjee, Ugee, Comedk by a very thin line(few marks, ranks) , I kept on searching for decent engineering colleges in Tech Hubs of the country (preferably Pune , Hyderabad, Delhi) I found out about BVCOE, Pune. Luckily their Entrance Exam form wasn't closed by then. I applied and appeared for their All India Basis Entrance BV-CET that was conducted in CBT mode. The questions asked were of easy to moderate CBSE level , Mcqs of a total of 200 Marks. Comprising of Physics Chemistry and Maths. After the results were out, The students who scored under 5k rank were called for the Offline counselling at BVCOE Pune itself from 2nd to 5th of July 2024. After the Document Verification and Scrutiny, the students were asked to fill up their branch preferences. I was shortlisted for IT Dept and thereafter I Locked the Seat and Took Admission.
The college follows New Education Policy and likewise all the rules are implemented. I had choices among CSE/CE/CSBS/IT. From which I got shortlisted for IT. Talking about the faculty, the faculty is pretty well here in BVCOE. Most of the Professors here are either PhD Holders or very Proficient with their subjects and hold an experience of 15+ years of teaching. The teaching method is good as well. Whatever content is taught in class is shared through pdf's by some of the professors. The curriculum is divided into 2 Unit Tests, Project Based Learning, Weekly Assignments( Understanding of the subject matter is emphasized for giving marks) and University Examination. The two Unit Tests are conducted after timely completion of 2 halves of the syllabus. The Final Examination occurs on time every year ( December 1st-2nd week for odd semesters and May 3rd-4th week for even semesters) and the backlog exams commence a week or two before the final exams

BHARATIYAM usually takes place in the month of February or March. Officially it is a 2 Day Fest but the cultural Events such as Departmental Flashmobs , MisMatch Day, Traditional Day, Faculty Ramp walk take place prior to those 2 Main Days. Talking about the Library , We have a 3 Storeyed Library Building that is fully equipped and has got latest edition of most of the books and journals available. 2 floors are fully furnished for students to sit and study. Open till 5 pm on normal days and till 8 pm during exams. Classrooms are well maintained and equipped with smart classes. The sports facilities of this college are average and so so. The playground isn't maintained all the time(except a few times) . But the Societies, clubs and Cells run by students are very active. We've Geeks for Geeks student club, Google developers Student Clubs, The Nss , Blotic (Web3 club) , The Art Circle, Malhaar, Malang, T&P Cell, Edc Cell, Financity Club etc.
I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
no placement data is present now but many of students are working on their own projects and few are cracked the internships and now currently serving their period on the companies and it's really great opportunities.
The college does have a placement cell. It provides some in campus placements . Rarely 2% students get in campus placements. Rest have to find jobs pn their own. You wi have to do alot of interships and gain practical skills to be placed
Diffrent companies have different criteria, limited companies comes in campus such as bootcoding Pvt.Ltd , and some small companies arrived. Highest package giving by companies is 4 LPA lowest package is 3LPA and average package is 2.5LPA. about 20% of students got placed. Searching a job after my course computation.
The faculty members are supporting but inexperienced the experienced professionals have left the college long time ago. This is one of the old colleges in Pune. The semesters are generally proactive extracurricular activities are less and are given not much priority .
There are the placements are done in the final year of college, You are eligible for the appear in the placements drive you have to score good scores in the semester exams. There are the lowest 3LPA and highest 6LPA packages are offered by the companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, BOAT, SBI , Ultra Tech, Mahindra, Capgemini etc. Students have to maintain their SGPA up to 8.0 CGPA.
engineering course curriculum is very old specially for university batch students my batch get admission in 2022 at that our college is not get autonomous status. passing semester exams is little hard in university compare to autonomous batch. faculties teachings methods are very old. And not practical learning provided.
