Remarks :

I wrote an entrance exam on the basis of which I got admission into this college. I got admission from general category with no quota . I scored 732/800 marks . Bifurcation:- Accounts:-188/200 Economics -182/200 Business studies -200/200 English -162/200 There was no interview or GD after exam. My friend got admission from OBC category she scored 680 marks . I preferred Arihant question banks for preparation. I was also getting laxmibai college through CW quota (defence) in 8th priority. But I chose this college over laxmibai college. This college was in 13th preference and laxmibai was in 23rd preference. One of my friends have CW and ncc quota and she is in the same course as me with around 620 marks . In the first round I got CVS which is neighbour of SBSC . Then in second round I got sbsc when cutoff was 728 .

Course Curriculum Overview :

The curriculum is good . There are 3 DSCs(discipline specific courses) . I am in 2nd semester I have corporate accounting, company law, human resources management. Then there are SEC ,VAC , AEC ,GE which you can choose from any department (geography, politics , commerce etc ) then there are presentations, assignments , tests etc . The faculty is friendly and nice.

Internships Opportunities :

I have not opted for any internship yet. But some of my classmates are doing internship I don't know whether it's through college or they applied off campus. If you do an internship then there's no need to maintain 66.67 percent attendance, 40 is enough. There is placement cell in the college that provides internships.

Placement Experience :

Placement opportunities are quite good in the college. Senior students are given the opportunity to participate in the placements. The cell in the college organises the placements. Many companies visit to recruit students like goldman sachs, jp morgan etc. I don't have much idea about the placements as I am just a fresher right now.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

I paid 17500 rupees for first year as tuition fees .... Other than that no fees was paid . In first semester exams there was a registeration fees of 1200-1400 rupees. But I have heard from the seniors that fees does increase every year as development costs.

Campus Life :

The campus life is like any other college which means that how will you enjoy college is solely determined by your friends circle and the people you hangout with. There are rarely any fests in the college. When I came into the college the first fest was in the month of October- divyotsav (diwali fest), then there was freshers in March and a lot of events are going in the campus . There is something for everyone. There are many societies in the college , from dance , singing to technology and social entrepreneurship. There are 3 rounds - 1. Google forms , 2. Group discussion 3.personal interview

Hostel Facilities :

There is no hostel facility in the college for students. But many students live in the PGs or flats . It's very common for students to live around the college in PGs or flats . My pg is on the walkable distance to the college. You can get a pg or flats through a broker (there are many here) the fees for my pg is 5500 including wifi , RO , fridge , box bed ,locker , geyser , cleaning services and a community kitchen .

Gargi Colleg , Delhi university

Placement Experience :

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

Doing masters in political science from Daulat Ram college

Placement Experience :

Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.

Placement Experience :

The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
