- No restrictions for hostelers and the university has to take action for this.
- There is no placements, less internships and no classes to sit during free periods.
Remarks :
Good aspects are good environment, exposure and green campus. The campus is about 800 acres. I chose this college because it provides lots of courses and has good faculties. I discussed to join this university with a faculty who is a professor in the business administration. It is a wonderful and efficient course to do in this university. Yeah we faced NTA conducts- CUET exam to join this university. And there were no interviews for the admission. Bad aspects of this university is that there is no time restrictions for the hostelers . I prepared myself for this exam by referring and studying my cbse 12th books. The syllabus is the same as that of higher secondary.
Course Curriculum Overview :
I chose this course over other courses because it provides a integrated course of masters and bachelors in the branch of computer science. Rather than studying in seperate, it is best to do a integrated course in this pondicherry university. Qualifications of the faculty are engineering and phd in the computer science domain.The faculties are well qualified and much educated. The teaching methods are as lectures, practicals and seminars, workshops. The term exams are timely as we have academic calendar and schedule where the exams ans other holiday and the results are declared in the correct accord. The difficulty level of the exams are not much but well good.
Internships Opportunities :
No I haven't opted for any internship here. There are less internships provided here in our university. There are only few amount of internships provided that are from IITs and are about 3 months duration.
Placement Experience :
The placements and job opportunities are also less in this university. So my idea after doing this course is to prepare for the entrance exams and join a job. I would be joining some extra course and coaching classes.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
This is semester based on semester.For the Odd semester the fee is ?3200 and for the Even semester it is rs 12200. Totally per year it is rs 15400. All the Labfee, events, culturals, lecture included in the semester fee itself. One semester is about 6 months. And for the highest cgpa , students will be getting scholarship . The overall fee structure is affordable for everyone to study here.
Campus Life :
The life at this campus is good as it is a good exposure. There are various types of events that occur here. Akansha, recursion and many more where we can show our talents. This university provides a rich social life to participate in various events, to have good friendships and improve skills. The university has a large library-Anandha Rangapillai Library, which has lots of books, journals from where we can boost our knowledge. The sports and the extra curricular activities are wide in this university as there are various clubs and teams for cricket, volleyball, football(Trafford) , badminton and basketball. Also marathons are conducted in our campus.
Hostel Facilities :
No I haven't opted for hostel. The hostel mess food are not good as I heard from my hostelers friends. The infrastructure is good. To apply for the hostel rooms, we have to contact the department regarding any enquiries about hostels.

There have campus placement after completing our course if we are wiling to do so on the affiliated colleges or off campuses of the university. For women also there have colleges at local and national level. Students also prefer to proceed their studies at global level by entering into international universities and other programmes.

The college has its own placement cell .each year almost 400-500 students are getting placed.the well know recruiters are TCS , Accenture,Bounteous , Capgemini etc.the highest package of cur end year is 12LPA.

Placement opportunities are excellent in SMVEC which is an attractive factor to join this college. Internships need to join based on our own intrest. TCS ans CTS is an main recruiting organisations in this college.

Eligibility for sitting In placement is that we should not carry backlogs and we have to maintain a decent cg of 7+ some companies do allow even you have backlogs but mostly they don't . In eee we have a good scope of getting palced this time everyone who sat for placements was placed and the highest core package of 12lpa which is actually good. Average was around 7 lpa for core in eee . I'll probably choose upsc career so this placement thing is not my piece of cake . Still our college is good for eee core placements

Job placement is quite bad in our university if you think to get addmission here you will fight for job . You have to apply directly to the companies. Companies are coming here but they didn't provide placement more than 30% .
Bharathiyar College of Engineering and Technology
Placement Experience :
The few companies which attended the placement drive were pharmaceuticals and sales companies, which weren't related to the field we pursued. Students attended the placement drive got placed and were able to bag below average packages. The percentage of students who got placed were around 40%. My plans were to go for higher studies. More emphasis could have been placed by the college on the placements and more opportunities could have been provided by the college for the students.

Placement Experience :
Every year students are placed in a week reputed companies like Amazon,Virtusa,TCS, Capgemini, Renault and so on. All the students having eligibility to attend the placements but some of the Top MNC expected 60% eligibility of throughout 10,12 and academic CGPA. So not eligible students also having more placements options to crack it.
