BIT Mesra is among top colleges of India generally it is compared with top NITs and IITs . There are well qualified professors and college academics is very strong . It has a lush green campus of 780 acre and has various cultural and technical club which help students to built themselves . Admission is based on jossa and csab counselling through jee mains scorecard. Students need to get above 95%ile to enter in this college and above 98.5%ile to get Cse. Bad aspect of this college is just high fees which might not be affordable by all .
Course curriculum and academics is quite strong . Professors have a minimum of 10 years of post phD experience and a research background qualified from top colleges . Here , In a semester 2 major exams are there i.e. Mid sem and End sem and in between quizes are conducted . Level of paper is very good as students are rankers of this country.
No , not yet as we are in first year. Internships are given to 2nd , 3rd or 4th year students on campus . Paid and unpaid internships are given to students by very reputated companies . Some companies recently visited were tata , vedanta , Dr reddy etc
Excellent placement opportunities are there . Eligibility criteria is different for different companies based on CGPA. Few companies are Amazon, Google , ITC, Infosys , Flipkart etc . Highest package is 52 LPA and average package is around 11 LPA . Around 85-90% students got placed .
The year wise fees is around 4.5 lakhs . Tuition fees is around 1.3 lakhs per semester , development fees is 9000 per year, exam fee is 7500 per year , caution money is 10000 , admission fee is around 17000 which is payed only once in a 4 year program. No fees reduction is done for any category but scholarship is provided on basis of CGPA.
BITOTSAV is the major and biggest fest of eastern India conducted in March like in this year i.e. 2025 Meet bros were invited. Almost all kinds of books are available and we can issue them as well . Sports complex is there where 3 badminton court , football ground , basketball ground , cricket ground(oval) are there . Gyms are available , even inside hostel badminton court is there . Many cultural and technical clubs are there like Leo club , ehsaas club , dance club , dhwani club , IEEE , IET , EDC clubs etc
Food quality is average generally but sometimes good on few occasion . As such no extra processes are there for mess/hostel registration all of its is done at time of admission . Very few of students live outside college in PG or room generally all students opt for hostel .

Placements are the main reason people come here. For Electrical, big players like Tata Steel, JSW, and Vedanta are regulars. The average package stays around ?7–8 LPA, while the highest can go up to ?15–20 LPA for core branches. You become eligible for placements from the 7th semester. I’m planning to sit for GATE as well, as many seniors here aim for PSUs. For internships, the college helps with vocational training in places like DVC or HURL, though paid internships are something you usually have to hunt for yourself on LinkedIn.

College give only about 30% placement and there is very few companies or hospitals which are visited to the college for the employees. You have to do it with yourself when you are go to the internship. The highest and average package as I see is about 30,000 per month and maximum to 50,000 per month And I saw that student who top is maximum getting chance for the placement which is rare .

I don't have any specific information about placements because I am still studying, but some seniors have got jobs which tells me that everything is fine. There are some seniors who work in Tata Motors and DRDO with good payments.
The intern is provided for training in nearby schools in 3rd semester. It is unpaid internship basically done under the curriculum.It is compulsory for the students to complete this teacher's training to get the B.ed degree. There is no such placement opportunities You have to go off campus to get placed in any school.
There is no campus placement in this college, so we have to plan our own jobs or internships after completing the course. Eligibility criteria for jobs depends on companies, mostly they ask for basic knowledge and skills related to the course. Some students do internships on their own in local companies or online. Since there is no official placement, there are no recruiters, packages or offers from college. Around 0% students get placement from college itself. My plan after degree is to prepare for government jobs and also apply for some private jobs related to my field. Overall, college is good for learning, but for placements you have to work on your own
"Placements in my college are slowly improving but still not at the level of top engineering colleges. Some companies visit every year but the number of offers is limited. Students who have good skills and prepare on their own get opportunities easily. The eligibility for sitting in placements is usually 6.0 CGPA and no major backlogs. Recruiters like small IT companies, training firms and a few core-related companies have visited. The highest package was around 6–7 LPA and the average stays near 3 LPA depending on the branch. Around 25–35% students get placed from campus and others go for off-campus drives. Internships are mostly arranged by students themselves through online platforms. After completing my degree, I plan to prepare for off-campus jobs and also improve my technical skills to get a better job in company or in government job
Placements are mediocre in my branch ece. Last year 60-70 percent students are placed. Average package is 13lpa approx and highest in my branch was 58lpa. Core companies like NXP come for placement. Tech companies like foipkart, meesho, visa, goldman sachs come for placement.
