1. I always had a thing for commerce ( as a result it was my subject till 12th). I found it more realistic and relatable ( though I don't chase money blindly) 2. Professional courses like C.A , C.S never gathered my interest simply because they could easily tie you up to one field, narrowing your vision to a unilateral one.( I appreciate their professionalism though) 3. I always wanted to be part of policy formation at the apex levels. Commerce ( and it's bachelors degree) can take me there faster than anything else. 4. I love the subject and that I think is valid enough to be the only reason too.

As far as the social life is concerned, being an extrovert it was tough for me in the initial days to stay at home when my friends were going to colleges and enjoying life. After sometime I started keeping myself busy in studies and started taking various online courses. I was improving myself each day, and this was the best thing. When all of my friends were busy bunking classes, watching movies, and dating I was busy improving myself.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.

I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
