I got my admission in SBSC through CUET. The exam itself was easy and the admission process was simple. We had to make a preference list and we would be allotted the college based on our score in CUET accordingly. There wasn’t any interview or GD/PIs further.
I chose this course out of pure interest. It gives me the opportunity to read about various texts and explore literature and media. My course teachers are well-knowledgable in their subjects and teach in a steady manner. They don’t rush subjects or delay important topics. Semester exams are easy if you’ve prepared for them a week or two before the exams.
A well maintained CGPA and a strong portfolio attracts placement offers. Around 30 to 50% students were placed last year with packages around 2-5L. I’m not sure about the companies which visited or the job positions offered though. I plan to pursue Civil Services after getting the degree and don’t plan on doing post-graduation.
I paid a sum of rs 20,275 for my first year. The Detailed fees structure include: Tuition Fees: rs 180 College Student Welfare Fund: rs 5350 College Development Fund: ?5750 College Facilities and Services Charges: ?5455 University Development Fee: ?1500 University Student Welfare Fund: ?250 University Facilities and Services Charges: ?1500 Economically Weaker Section Support University Fund: ?250 DUSU Fees: rs 40 The fees is same for all my batchmates in the course.
The infrastructure of SBSC is well above average. One entire block and the sports ground are under construction from over an year and will probably take an year more to be fully developed which is a down side. The library is well stacked and spacious along with proper air conditioning. It is well supervised too. Fests and events are very limited in our college due to budget constraints and restrictions from the principle.

The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
