College life is good and it was the nearest one from my hometown so my parents made me choose it, Extracurricular activities are conducted frequently and there’s clubs for everything The infrastructure is outdated and the placements are average and the fees is too high and not value for money Admission process is basically to fill up the form and pay the fees if you meet the eligibility criteria there’s an internal Exam for scholarship namely GECET Nobody prepares for this internal exam and everyone cheats in it for the scholarship
I chose BTech CSE( Core) as I had a keen interest in computers and I chose core as I wasn’t sure about my specialisation Faculties are well qualified and the teaching method is subjective most teachers are just focused upon the theory application of the subject Term exams are conducted every 2 months and the difficulty level is moderate 6/10
The tuition fees is around 4lakhs per annum plus a one time fees of 25 thousand and 20thousand yearly charges extra Home state quota students have a 20% scholarship so their fees is around 3.2 Lakhs per annum GECET exam provides scholarships from 10-50% for the students then there’s scholarships for girls and defence quota And lastly a merit scholarship for students with 75+ in their PCM subjects
Grafest is the biggest event of our university and is conducted after the end of even semesters Availability of books and journals is ample in the library Amenities are well hygienic Sports and extracurricular activities are good but cramped up due to the large student intake We’ve a badminton court indoor games cricket/football group and basketball court IEEE is a technical club run by students Rangmanch is the art and dance club Utopia is a technical/media club
Companies do come here for placements and many students get placed as well but there's always the student factor as not everyone deserves to be placed either. My seniors are getting placed at 8.7 to 40 lpa specially the mba courses are getting placed higher.
the placement support at DBS has been one of the best strongest aspects of my experience. the university regularly organized internship and live project, mock interview, aptitude training and industry interaction to prepare students for placements.
To sit for placements, the students have to be in 3 semester. Few famous companies that came in for placements are HCL, Tech Mahindra, ICICI, ANZ, Infosys, Wipro, etc. The highest package this year went up to 40 LPA and average package was 8.7 LPA. Around 95% of students got placed this year. For me I want to work in corporate for a few years then I want to pursue my PHD side by side.
College have decent placement percentage which is ofcourse higher than other local colleges near by.Our college have avg package around 6LPA and every year big companies like TCS visit our college for recruitment offering good packages.
I am preparing for other services currently but yes the college do provide good opportunities for future, even the college has good record in placement for AME, BHM, BCA, PHARMACY courses. Majority of students apply for further studies in our course.
Agriculture department is all about Internships and we have good collaborations with various institutions and training labs for polishing the hands on practical. The college provide good opportunities of works. The departments like AME, BCA, IT, BHM has good placement record.
I would say the college really provides wide opportunities to the specialization courses, as I preferred to go for further studies, but my batchmates got placed in good environmental industries because of the Degree.
Placements are very good. Placement criteria is based on cgpa and student behaviour. Good cgpa and no back allowed you to sit in placement. Highest package is 1.24 cr and average package is 4lpa. About 60% students get placed per year from campus. Tech Mahindra, TCS, wipro, Deloitte HCL etc companies visited fir placement.
I choose this course mainly because I wanted to pursue marketing for quite some time as I am extremely extroverted person. The faculty here are pretty well qualified atleast the ones who have taught me they really take interest in making everyone interact and share opinions
There are good placement and job opportunities are there in off campus placement because there are many sites whivh provide job and internships like inteshala and there are many other platforms to find the job and internships
