Remarks :

The college has a small library, a canteen, a small sports room, a conference room, a huge hall, ladies and gents room (separate), a parking lot where students can park their vehicles. There are separate computer laboratories for each course. The campus surroundings, cleanliness, and Wi-Fi facilities could be improved. The college offers various placement opportunities for final-year students. Many company representatives visit the college to recruit students for placements in their firms. The roles offered included sales and marketing, which were irrelevant to our course. The course related placements could be given, this should be improved. The college did not give admission based on any CET exam or interviews, until our batch. After the government made the CET exam compulsory for all students who want to pursue this degree, the admission cannot take place unless the student has passed the CET (Common Entrance Test) exam.

Course Curriculum Overview :

I chose this course because the subjects in the course are related to the management field as well as the programming field. Choosing B.B.A.(C.A.) is a strategic move for a career in IT. Unlike other 4-year curriculum degrees, this degree allows any individual to enter the corporate world in just 3 years. The course is affiliated to SPPU (Savitribai Phule Pune University). Most of our faculty have a degree of Masters in CS (Computer Science) or MCA (Masters in Computer Applications). The professors are quite helpful in providing notes. Their teaching methods could be improved a bit, like interacting with the students to make sure they all have their doubts cleared, exploring a fun way in learning each subject, etc. The syllabus is updated every 4 to 5 years. Odd semester-end examinations are conducted after Diwali, while even semester-end examinations take place in April or May. The practical exams are very difficult compared to all the other examinations.

Internships Opportunities :

I haven't yet opted for any internships along as my college degree is still ongoing and the Head of Department does not allow students to give their exams as the 75% attendance is mandatory for each semester of the degree, and the college has not offered any internship opportunities as well until now.

Placement Experience :

The college offers many placement opportunities for final-year students. However, the company representatives who visit the college to recruit students for placements in their firms do not provide placements related to the students' degrees. So the students do not opt for the placements offered by the college and either plan for masters after the completion of the degree or gain some industry worthy skills which are necessary in the corporate world for employability.

Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :

The fees structure for B.B.A.(C.A.) (Bachelor's in Computer Applications) for the non-autonomous batch for the first year was Rs. 49,500, for the second year Rs. 50,500, for the third year Rs. 55,000. After the college turned autonomous the fees were Rs. 60,000 for a year. Additional fees include exam fees which were gradually increasing by each passing semester, they were approximately 1700 to 2600 depending on the semester and the student's results as well. There were also parking charges, but those were not mandatory for every student in the college. The college supported OBC, SC, ST students by providing MAHADBT scholarships for their fees. The semester textbooks are to be bought separately, and are not included in the college fees. The students who stay far from the college have to either opt for a hostel near the college or keep travelling by public transport such as bus, auto, metro etc. The college does not have a hostel facility.

Campus Life :

Various competitions are conducted throughout the year by the college, however, there are no college clubs run by the students. There is one major event annually where students can participate and earn university credits which are academically beneficial for passing the degree. The 'Aarambh Fest' is usually held in the months of February or March. There are plenty of books available in the college library, including academic related textbooks as well as magazines and newspapers. The classroom has a smart sense-board which is useful for the staff to teach in an interactive way. The fans of the classrooms should be improved. There are no sports activities conducted in the college. The college premises is way too small which is why not many activities can be conducted in there. The college sometimes uses SP College, Tilak Road, Pune's college ground.

Placement Experience :

I haven't reached my placement stage yet but from what I have seen the college doesn't wait until the final year to start preparing students. We have coding sessions, skills building workshops and career guidance from the beginning. Seniors also share their experiences which gives us a better idea of what to expect. I feel the college is helping us build the right foundation for internships and placements. At the same time, I think getting a good job also depends on how much effort we put into improving our own skills. So far I feel I am on the right track
