It's ranking and prestige led me to choose this college, I put this college on 5th preference and based on my marks and cutoff, I was allotted drc. This college has decent infrastructure, good faculty and brand value but placement can be better since the college doesn't not provide placements for master's students, it's only for bachelors students. The admission is through cuet pg exam, then you have to apply in colleges you want to get in and put preference list while applying for du , then based on your marks and preference, cutoffs are released and allot colleges to you.
I always had a keen interest in Politics and it led me to choose political science in my bachelors and in my master's as well. The curriculum is holistic and includes various branches of political science like security studies, gender in ir , modern political thinkers, Western political thinkers, political theory, international relations, etc. Faculty is highly learned and qualified, very supportive. Exams were not very tough and can be passed if you have attended classes, followed the notes and readings given by professors .
I didn't apply for any internships in masters due to studies and preparation for other exams. But my friends did apply in ministry internships, political consultancies with stipend ranging around 5-20k.
Drc has a decent placement for bachelors students and cell is very active, invites companies like Amazon, Deloitte, ipac , accenture, etc and offers around 6-20 lac. But drc doesn't provide placements for master's students, though there are many external opportunities to grab in . Masters student do apply for internships in political and policy roles and even get placed in political consultancies and awarded with fellowships.
Drc charges 30k per annum fee for master's in political science and fee concession is available in second year of college though it's not very significant since they only reduces 6-7k . There are few national scholarships that college told us about like national scholarship program (NSP) which gives scholarship of 10k per month for 2 years of your course.
Social life in campus is lively and fun, includes many clubs and societies like music, drama, dance, debate society, etc. Fest name is manjari and it happens in month of February or March and invites famous singers as well. Library is very rich and has so many books from all the disciplines and authors. Sports ground is well equipped and functions on regular basis.
Drc has its own hostel which is decent but it's only for bachelors students but there are university hostels for master's students where they can apply, it's tough to get in since seats are limited but the hostels are really good and with great infrastructure, food and campus. I did apply for University hostel, but was not accepted due to limited seats but I have heard good things from my friends who lived there and I visited there as well quite often with them.
Placement at PGDAV college are average students who have good communication skills internships and extra certification usually gets better opportunities the placement cell is active and organise placement drives , workshops , resume building session and career building guidance student should not have any active backlog
PLACEMENT FOR BBA ARE AVERAGE WITH COMPANIES OFFERING ROLE IN SALES, MAREKTING, HR AND OPERATION. AVERAGE PACKAGE IS AROUND 3 TO 4 LAKH PER YEAR MANY STUDENTS ALSO PURSUE HIGHER STUDIES LIKE MBA TO IMPROVE THEIR CARRER OPPORTUNITIES.
The placement is good for students of commerce background and even many arts students get placement. But for science students, there are rarely any science background companies hiring as even as an intern. Many science students go for higher studies. So, Rarely science students get placement and if placed then not in company of science background.
I am as of in starting of 3rd year. The internship options are quiet really well. They give you many companies to apply in. .
I chose my course because I was interested in learning a business environment and management processes. Faculties are very well experienced and professional , and teaching methods are good. Term exams are held every 6 months and difficulty level is not very high .
The placement opportunities are genuine, infact there is a dedicated placement cell in the college, companies like EY, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC too participate in our placement fairs and students have actually got good placements!
du sol provides placement in news 18, aaj tak and job opportunities as according to the course of student pursuing. just visit to du sol north campus head quarter ask for the facility they will provide . bad thing is they dont provide on regular basis.
The placement cell is quite active. There are always placement and internship fairs every year and even other college students can join them. The placement recruiters are from top companies like Deloitte, KPMG, EY, etc. Although, not every one gets in these companies but then, there are other companies as well like Finshots, Voice Your Vichaar, etc. The average package is 3LPA and highest package is 8LPA.
